Casio Exilim EX-Z600 review

Slide this little camera out of your pocket, and people are sure to ooh and ahh over its large and bright 2.7-inch LCD. In typical Casio Exilim fashion, the 6-megapixel EX-Z600 is slender, stylish, highly portable, and easy to use--even for beginners....

Small; responsive; broad feature set for point and shoot; affordable.

Blur-reduction features result in excessive noise; generally average image quality; no optical viewfinder.

Although the image quality and performance of the stylish and ultracompact Casio Exilim EX-Z600 are decent for a snapshooter, watch out for image noise at high ISO settings--it quickly and easily gets out of control, turning pictures into mush.

Camera Test: Casio Exilim EX-Z600

The digital camera field is crowded with unusual and creative features. The Casio Exilim EX-Z600 (street: $260), however, managed to break through and create some buzz with its debut earlier this year. After all, what other camera can boast an "eBay...

Casio Exilim EX-Z600 Pro Review

Are you a minimalist wannabe like me? In other words, someone that likes to pretend that you have few things but in reality hoard a ton of stuff in your closets? Then the Exilim EX-Z600 might be the camera for you - simple on the outside but packed...

Big, bright LCD screen, Pocket-sized, Lightweight, Very little shutter lag, Image stabilization, Quick startup, Great battery life, Good skin tone

Case not included, Terrible instruction manual, ON/OFF button a bit small, Pointless digital zoom, Movie mode is hard to find, Noisy images at high ISO settings

When evaluating point-and-shoot digital cameras I always adjust my image quality expectations. The Casio Exilim EX-Z600 does nothing to change my point of view and that's fine. This is not a ground-breaking camera. It is, overall, one of the better...

Casio Exilim EX-Z600 Digital Camera Review

With a Super Bright LCD and long battery life, the compact Casio Exilim EX-Z600 has a lot to recommend it. It's in the current resolution sweet spot of 6 megapixels, and the LCD is 2.7 inches diagonally with 153,600 pixels of resolution. A pretty...

Casio Exilim EX-Z600

Casio's Exilim EX-Z600 is an ultra-compact camera, yet it has a bright, large 2.7in LCD. That's important because this camera lacks an optical viewfinder.

Compact, large LCD that's bright and easy to see in daylight, convenient Best Shot button, built-in perspective correction, reasonable price, great battery life

No optical viewfinder, mediocre image colour, exposure and sharpness, some controls are hard to use

If low price, long battery life, and a big, bright LCD are at the top of your camera needs, the Casio EX-Z600 is an excellent fit. But if this camera only delivered better image quality, it would be much more enticing.
