Fujifilm FinePix review

Fujifilm released three AA-battery-powered megazooms for 2011: the FinePix S2950, S3200, and S4000. These are full-size models with dSLR-like bodies offering 14-megapixel resolutions, 3-inch LCDs plus electronic viewfinders, and Fujinon optical zooms...

The Fujifilm FinePix S2950 has a wide-angle 18x zoom lens, takes AA-size batteries for power, and has a 3-inch LCD, an electronic viewfinder, and manual and semimanual shooting modes.

The S2950's performance and photo quality indoors and in low-light conditions are merely passable for its price.

A low-cost way to get an 18x wide-angle lens, the Fujifilm FinePix S2950 delivers merely OK photos and shooting performance.

FujiFilm FinePix New Release: 18x Zoom and More!

Need a super zoom digital camera? Consider the Fujifilm FinePix S2950, but before you run to the store, find out if the features and specifications of the S2950 fulfill your needs and is worth your money. You can make an informed decision at the end of...

The Fujifilm Finepix S2950 is a nicely designed compact digital camera with a lot of cool features and a long range zoom. It is easy to use and its pictures are great. You can purchase the S2950 for as little as $175.00, and I personally think that...

Fuji Finepix S2950

The Fuji Finepix S2950 provides photographic controls in a relatively compact ultra-zoom digital camera featuring a stabilized 18X optical zoom lens and a 14 megapixels sensor for an affordable price. This digital camera sits at the low end of the...

Excellent metering, Natural colors, Accurate white-balance, Good lens sharpness, Good body ergonomics, Good LCD visibility, Excellent price-point for feature set, Superb battery life

Image noise at all ISO, Visible barrel distortion, Noticeable vignetting, Edge softness at 28mm, Slow shot-to-shot speed, Sluggish interface, Self-timer in menu system, Questionable button assignments

The Fuji Finepix S2950 is a great value for its feature set. That it packs a stabilized wide-angle 18X optical zoom lens with full manual-controls, spot-metering, shutter-speeds from 1/2000s to 8s, an EVF and HD video for less than $200 USD is truly...

Fujifilm FinePix S2950 (S2950HD) review

With a low price tag, superzoom capabilities and the body of a bridge camera, the S2950 impresses on paper. But how does it perform when put through the rigours of a WDC test? Read on to find out...

Good feature list, large focal range, bridge camera design

Poor LCD screen, some image quality issues, small viewfinder

The best camera out there

For those on a tight budget but looking for a camera close to an SLR. This is the best to choose, it's not that expensive. It has lots of features and it's a great camera

Amazing indoor shooting if you set it right, lots of features and great price as well. I use it for any photography and it's the best I have ever owned. I have owned point and shoot cameras and they are not as good as this one

It's not as good as focusing during events that are in the dark so I would suggest the night setting

Consumer review (cnet.com)

This is by far the best camera I have ever owned.

I would definitely recommend this camera to anybody looking for a good quality point and shoot camera at an affordable price with plenty of features.

Lots of options and features for every kind of user. Sturdy construction. 2 Zoom modes (Optical and digital). Both can be used together for a maximum zoom well over the advertised 18x. Multiple rapid shooting modes. Easy to use controls and menus.

The only thing I dont like is that there is no manual zoom feature on it. But the auto-focus feature does a good job.
