Fujifilm FinePix XP20 review

Just about every major camera manufacturer has at least one rugged camera in its lineup now. Not just waterproof, but shockproof, dustproof, freezeproof, and, in some cases, crushproof. Fujifilm has two, the FinePix XP20 and XP30, with the only major...

The Fujifilm FinePix XP20 is an easy-to-use rugged point-and-shoot.

The XP20 has sluggish shooting performance and produces poor low-light photos.

The Fujifilm FinePix XP20 is a decent extra point-and-shoot for when you need a camera to take some abuse. But if it's going to be your one and only pocket camera, look elsewhere.

"NOT WATERPROOF!!!"

Bought the camera Jan 2012. Used it until the first time brought into a pool in September of 2012. Before I got in I very carefully check to make sure it was closed correctly. Worked for awhile and then filled up with water. Returned to factory on...

Cheap. But since water destroys this waterproof camera, not really a pro.

Not waterproof. Poor pics even before that. Didn't expect much considering the cost was so low with the waterproof feature.

"good while it lasts."

Do not recommend this camera at all!!!! Very Very disappointing.

Has some cool features. Can take two pics at once, one with flash and one without to see which is better. It takes some pretty good pictures and underwater video was good.

Terrible battery life. Bought 3 cameras and just over one year later, all 3 batteries have crapped out. They all just stopped taking a charge. The batteries are expensive to replace. The underwater pictures didn't work very well either.

"Water resistant but Slooooow."

When I bought it a few years ago there weren't many waterproof cameras so it was acceptable then. There are better choices now.

Pretty water resistant. I never took underwater pics but it has gotten wet several times and I've dropped it several times.

There's a long 3-4 second delay from the time you press the shutter till it finally takes the picture. I take a lot of action shots so it has been a challenge to use. The picture quality is just OK. The low light performance is pretty bad.

3 Days!

Last time I purchase form new egg! cant send it back to new egg, cant get help from the extended warranty I purchase and have to deal with the manufacture and pay for shipping myself! and its only been 45 days since the purchase was made!

No pros in the amount of time it worked

Stopped working, AF Error and static lcd screen followed by black screen in only three days of my 10 day vacation with minimal use (approx. 30 pics!)

Not worth it

Took the camera to the pool to test it, and guess what!!! water got inside the camera, ruined it in the process. I guess you get what you pay for. I will be returning the camera, ASAP!

Cheap ; Like the HD video

NOT waterproof ; Don't like the location of the lens. Finger pics anyone!! I guess you are suppose to use one hand but I like to use both of them to minimize camera shake
