Of all of the tough cams we've seen this year, the XP200 was the least desirable. Even though it rings in at under $300, you're a stone's throw (roughly $75) away from the best all-round tough cam, the Olympus TG-2. Your $75 nets you much better image...

I had several videos of a whitewater raft trip. They looked real good when I played back thru the camera, but later when I went to look at them, all gone. Might've happened when I plugged in to recharge, I don't know, but what a huge disappointment....

Robust, easy to follow programming, several shooting modes. good video capability with 'quick start' button.

Location of lens means that you get several shots of your finger if not very careful. Fiddly battery charge/download port.
