Image quality

Kodak EasyShare C340

The Kodak EasyShare c340 has excellent resolution for the price; capable of producing relatively high-quality photos; easy-to-navigate onscreen menus; integration with EasyShare software and accessories.

Small LCD screen; limited manual controls; out-of-alignment optical viewfinder; jerky video captures.

The Kodak EasyShare C340 has the two top qualities needed for beginners: it's easy to use, and it can produce relatively high-quality photos.

Kodak EASYSHARE C340 Zoom

This camera is a great example of the direction Kodak seems to be taking with its 5 megapixel range. It is firmly targeted at beginner photographers, ...

Great image quality, light and easy to carry, easy to use

Horrible image lag, lacking manual features, weak construction

You might consider this model if you're a beginner looking for good image quality, but there are better buys elsewhere.

Kodak EasyShare C340

The Kodak EasyShare C340 has the two top qualities needed for beginners: it's easy to use, and it can produce relatively high-quality photos.

Excellent resolution for the price ; Capable of producing relatively high-quality photos ; Easy-to-navigate onscreen menus ; Integration with EasyShare software and accessories

Small LCD screen ; Limited manual controls ; Out-of-alignment optical viewfinder ; Jerky video captures

Both of the Kodak EasyShare C340's video resolutions were jerky, especially the 640x480 at 13fps setting. The 320x240 at 20fps setting might be good enough for casual applications, such as e-mail attachments or Web-based downloads.

Kodak Easy Share C340

Kodak have produced two cameras that have very similar specifications, originally I planned to review them both together but decided against that as there are more differences than may at first appear.

So here I will concentrate on the slightly larger C340 unit. It is 9x6.5x4cm and weights around 200 grams with the two AA batteries inserted. There is 16MB of internal memory. There are five image modes 5, 4.4, 3.1, 2.1 and 1.1mega pixel. Taking...

Kodak Easyshare C340

The Kodak Easyshare C340 is a digital camera with a 5 megapixel sensor and 3x Optical Zoom lens. It is has an array of shooting modes to allow automatic image taking in a variety of conditions. The C340 also allows on camera cropping and VGA quality...

Eastman Kodak Company today introduced two new, compact digital cameras to its KODAK EASYSHARE line: the EASYSHARE C340 zoom digital camera, with 5 megapixel (MP) resolution, 3X optical zoom and on-camera cropping; and the EASYSHARE C300 digital...

Very Good Camera!

This camera is good for what you pay for it (as I see that the price has gone up, lol). I think it's definitely awesome with the ability to play back video and pics on the TV, and that's made my Xtreme Team at Shawnee very happy :)

This camera has many options for every type of condition. I use this during my Ski season with training and pic/video making. It's durable and reliable, and can connect to older easyshare printers with USB

One problem that I have gotten with is that I had to return the camera because of a screw loose inside it, only to get a new camera with the same problem. Kodak will come through with fixing it though (1-year warranty). Oh, and don't use the LCD if you...

Good Camera

This camera eats standard batteries alive, but the rechargeable go forever before needing to be recharged. The batteries will pay for themselves in one week of use. Some of the other comments below are ridiculous - Zoom is noisy and doesn't instill...

Great value. Camera takes high quality pics, and has lots of different modes (such as portrait and closeup, which do make a difference) and different options (file sizes, white balance, etc). Takes great outdoor photos. Small, lightweight and reliable

White balance indoors can be a pain, it always seems off. Depending on the type of light faces come out very red. This can be corrected to a degree with white balance settings or not using the flash in a bright room, but lack of a manual manual white...

Good camera

Be sure to buy a big SD card to go along with this camera.

I've always used Kodaks and I like them. They have good picture and color quality. This camera has a very high resolution and a nice zoom

It takes a longer than I expected to turn on. If not set on the right functions, picture can easily come out blurry

Mediocre picture quality

I bought this in combo with an HP PSC and it was a tremendous value. Had I to consider it alone, I'd pass. It's a 5mp camera, but that's about it. As another reviewer noted, I get much higher quality from my 3mp Canon.

Inexpensive camera, easy to operate, small size & weight, uses AA batteries, SD cards are now very reasonable in price. Internal 16mb memory for back-up

Poor image quality. Movies are in .mov format. Zoom is mechanically noisy and doesn't instill confidence in its construction. Exposure in "auto" mode can be all over the place

Kodak C340, (Parts# 1466861) Silver 5.0 MP 1.6" LCD 3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera

This is my third Kodak digital camera, and I find this one as excellent as the other two for its category/price range. I experimented by taking the same pictures with the auto setting at 5 mp with this camera and the Kodak Z730. As long I stayed with...

Inexpensive, clear pics at high resolutions, user friendly, small & lightweight, very nice LCD screen, lots of picture-taking options

I've had several digital cameras, and all of them have been hard on batteries. Use the LCD screen sparingly and it will vastly improve battery life
