Kodak EasyShare V1003 Review

Comparing this to the 8MP Sony DSC-W90 in terms of processing power and speed is a joke.

Kodak Easyshare V1003

It's hard to recommend Kodak's EasyShare V1003 because of its weak picture quality and slow performance.

Competitively priced. Stylish design and decent GUI.

Noticeable shutter lag. Tiny controls. Poor performance. Some focusing problems.

Kodak EasyShare V1003 review

Comes in several different colors.

Awkward controls; terrible noise; mediocre performance.

Unless you care more about the color of your 10-megapixel camera than the photos it captures, give this one a pass.

Kodak EasyShare V1003 Digital Camera - Express Review - The Imaging Resource!

The 10-megapixel Kodak EasyShare V1003 features a Kodak Retinar-branded 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch 150,000 pixel LCD display, a high ISO mode that offers a maximum sensitivity of ISO 1,600 equivalent, and a whopping 22 Scene modes (Portrait, Sport,...

Attractive design, well balanced in the hand ; Available in multiple colors with matching accessories ; Good resolution at low ISO ; Easy to learn controls ; EasyShare system from camera to dock to Gallery ; Joystick makes menu navigation second nature...

Oversaturated images, even for a Kodak ; No Playback mode button ; Slow startup and shutdown ; Long shutter lag ; Joystick makes changing EV a little too easy ; Slow auto focus ; Underexposed Macro shots ; Very soft in the upper right corner

The Kodak V1003 includes user-friendly functions such as in-camera digital red-eye removal, a blurry picture warning, and a new "Maintain Settings" menu that lets the user store their preferred settings such as flash, white balance, ISO, and resolution...

Kodak EasyShare V1003 Digital Camera

The Kodak EasyShare V1003 is Kodak's latest offering in their lineup of consumer digital cameras, but how does it perform? Find out after the jump in our review.

Different colors to choose from ; Operation is simple and clearly labeled

Long shutter lag ; Extremely small controls ; Grainy images

Kodak seems to think it's more important to be stylish than to have good performance, especially since there are better performing cameras in this price range at $229 USD.

Koday EasyShare V1003 Digital Camera Review

Even it looks so small, Kodak V1003 offers not less than 10 megapixels (prints up to 30 × 40 in. or 76 × 102 cm). It is a fashionable point and shoot camera: comes in many colors (java black, java brown, pink bliss, red shimmer, cosmic blue, mystic...

Kodak EasyShare V1003

Unless you care more about the colour of your 10-megapixel camera than the photos it captures, give this one a pass.

Comes in several different colours

Awkward controls ; Terrible noise ; Mediocre performance

It's telling that the second paragraph of Kodak's press release for the V1003 starts with a quote from chief marketing officer Pierre Schaeffer rather than a product manager or engineer. "As consumers look for more ways to expand their picture taking...
