Konica Minolta Dimage X20 review

Konica Minolta Dimage X20

Slim, compact, and lightweight; light sensitivities from ISO 64 to ISO 400; doubles as a voice recorder.

Slow autofocus; contrasty images with an overly warm color cast; confusing menu system.

This is a competent portable snapshooter if you're not hung up on color accuracy or shooting speed.

Digital Cameras - Minolta DiMAGE X20 Digital Camera Review, Information, Specifications

I've been a fan of Minolta's "X" line of subcompact cameras since the original version was first introduced. The DiMAGE X20, while sacrificing a few features to keep the cost down, offers a capable, subcompact digicam at a street price of close to...

The front of the camera holds the lens window, flash, self-portrait mirror, and self-timer lamp. A shutter-like, retractable lens cover protects the lens window whenever the camera is powered off, sliding quickly out of the way when the camera is...

Minolta DiMAGE X20

There are plenty of compact 2MP cameras out there -- how does the X20 compare? Find out in our review

Generally good photo quality ; Ultra-thin body with 3X zoom lens ; Fast startup, shot-to-shot, playback speeds ; Movie mode can record until card is full, with sound ; Mirror for self-portraits on front of camera. Interesting? Yes. Useful? Not sure ;...

Some vignetting, fuzzy corners in images; images on the soft side ; No manual controls ; No optical viewfinder ; Some redeye and purple fringing ; I'm not a huge fan of the four-way controller and the new menu system ; No AF illuminator ; So-so bundle

The Minolta DiMAGE X20 is a good, ultra-compact 2 Megapixel camera -- as long as you don't miss the optical viewfinder. The X20 is purely a point-and-shoot camera, with no manual controls. The new menu system is clearly aimed at beginners. Photo...

Minolta DiMAGE X20

The Minolta DiMAGE X20 continues in tradition of other Minoltas in the DiMAGE X series. It comes in at the lower end of the range at only 2.0 megapixel and a 3x zoom lens but for its tiny size it packs in all the normal features we?ve come to expect...

Consumer review (epinions.com)

Good Quality from a Trusted Name Brand

The Minolta Name Brand is synonymous with quality camera optics so I felt pretty safe investing in this camera. If you are looking for the following qualities, this camera is for you: Uses AA batteries instead of proprietary rechargeables. Lithium ...

Start up speed. Uses AA batteries. Looks Expensive but isnt.

Small screen size. Auto focus can be a bit slow.

Perfect for its Purpose

Small, cheap, feature-laden... pick two. Although we all would like to have all three in a digital camera, I prefer to approach my purchases with an eye towards what I plan to use the camera for. In that respect, the Dimage X20 is perfect for me. I ...

As of late to get of my gadget/computer kick, the great outdoors has called, I answered. I picked up this camera for a little outdoor photo work to sneak away from the desk and enjoy the outdoors. The camera has worked great with the exception of low ...

Affordable, Compact, Good Battery Life.

No fine tuning of settings, no upgrade of lenses or filters.
