Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 review:

Depending on how you use your photos, you'll either be thrilled or disappointed with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15. For its sub-$180 price, you get a nice-looking ultracompact with plenty of automatic shooting options and a couple of noteworthy features...

Very good design, features for its price; dedicated Intelligent Auto button; wide-angle 5x zoom lens.

Mixed photo quality, performance.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 is a well-appointed snapshot camera for the money with the mixed performance and photo quality typical of its class.

Panasonic DMC-FS15

The lens is image stabilized and at its widest focal length is the equivalent of 29mm. It comes with face detection (which is the mode of 2009 by the looks of things), 11 point auto focusing, ISO range of 100 to 6400, four flash modes and 50 megabytes...

This powerful Panasonic digital camera snaps 12-megapixel photos and has a 5x optical zoom

Good Intelligent Auto setting, wide-angle 5x zoom lens, great macro mode

No HD video recording, comparatively small screen

If you’re looking for an alternative to the benchmark models of Canon’s IXUS compact camera line-up, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FS15 is a great choice. It offers a good lens and intelligent picture modes, though it has a smaller screen than we would have...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15

This is an example of a compact camera done right. With its stylish looks and relatively good specs list, the Lumix FS15 won't disappoint unless you're looking for HD video and manual controls.

Stylish design. 29mm wide-angle lens. 5x optical zoom. Impressive macro mode.

Small buttons. Zoom rocker is quite resistive. No HD video.

This is an example of a compact camera done right. With its stylish looks and relatively featured specs list, the Lumix FS15 won't disappoint unless you're looking for HD video and manual controls.

Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 Camera

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 is well-priced addition to the many point-and-click style cameras currently on the market. Available from around £120 this should be on your list to check out if you're on a budget and looking for a good-looking camera with...

I do have issues with the photo quality from the Panasonic Lumix FS15 – particularly if you want to blow them up beyond a standard size – but at such a low price this doesn’t make it a bad camera. In fact, if you’re only interested in taking standard...

Panasonic DMC FS15

This camera does a good all round job. It is a mid priced pocket camera offering good value for money. It has a few extra features tucked away and I like the extra zoom that becomes available when shooting at lower resolutions.

Picture quality - simple design - value for money

A bit more light from the flash unit

The Panasonic Lumix DSC FS15 does most things well. If you are looking at mid priced, pocket digital cameras then this is certainly one for your shortlist.

Panasonic FS15 review

The Panasonic FS15 is one of the smaller compact in the FS series, but does it still pack the punch of its larger siblings?

Good image quality, affordable price

Body lacks a quality finish, 2.7in LCD could be better
