Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS200/TZ200 Review

Panasonic's premium compact DC-ZS200 (TZ200 outside of North America) boasts a 24-360mm equiv. F3.3-6.4 zoom lens, making it the longest reaching 1"-type pocket camera on the market. There are tradeoffs that come with that big lens, however. Find out...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10

An impressive set of specs including a 16x zoom lens, a high-quality touch screen, GPS, and 3D image capture, can't compensate for the subpar image quality and low-light performance you get with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10.

16x optical zoom lens. Large, touch-screen LCD. Built-in GPS. Shoots 3D images.

Poor overall image quality and low-light performance. Slow to start up and shoot.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10

The 16X-optical-zoom Panasonic Lumix ZS10 is the touchscreen-equipped successor to last year's Lumix DMC-ZS8. The sum of the DMC-ZS10's parts is a fast-focusing, versatile pocket megazoom with high marks for zoom range, scene modes, 3D still shooting,...

In-camera HDR and high-speed movie modes ; Touch-to-focus controls ; 3D still shooting ; 16X optical zoom lens with very fast autofocus ; Manual modes with aperture- and shutter-priority

Limited touchscreen functionality ; GPS feature lacks in-camera mapping ; No RAW shooting mode ; Images often look underexposed and lack sharpness ; Battery life is poor with GPS active

The long-zoom, GPS-enabled Lumix ZS10 is a nice compact camera for travelers, but it suffers from indifferent image quality and mediocre battery life.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS10 14 Megapixel Digital Camera - review: Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS10 14 Megapixel Digital Camera -

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS10 14 Megapixel Digital Camera -

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 has fast shooting performance and an extensive feature set.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 has a near-pointless touch screen; no raw capture option; noisy photos; and a short battery life.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 is a very good compact megazoom, as long as you don't mind paying more for features and speedy performance than photo quality.

With an asking price of £550 Leica might be in trouble if its camera was a mass-market consumer device like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20, with which it shares much - in fact almost everything but name. But it's not, so it won't be; arguably Leica is...

The pocket-friendly body of the Panasonic ZS10 couples a 14.1-megapixel MOS image sensor to a Leica DC Vario-Elmar branded 16x optical zoom lens. The Panasonic ZS10's lens is equivalent to a 24-384mm. When recording movies, a stronger focal length crop...
