Legend Digital LPVR160 Personal Video Recorder

Legend's LPVR160 PVR comes with twin digital tuners and 160GB of recording space, but at its heart it's very much an entry level unit.

Legend Digital LPVR160 Personal Video Recorder

Have the 80gb version of this PVR

Does the job

Relatively poor picture quality and motion bluring on our Toshiba CRT. In comparison a Strong STB on same TV has faultless picture quality. Counter-intuitive on screen menus. Occassionally drops all pre-set TV stations

"A geat little unit that's not overly complicated"

Compared to similar units in the market place the Legend is about half price. And for that you get a whole bunch of features. The software just works, the unit just works, there is minimal fuss and installation is very easy. The unit is very sturdy and...

Just works - straight out of the box. Recording quality very, very good. Fantastic picture and sound quality. Very easy to use - just like a VCR only better. Very sturdy unit. Ability to upgrade to a larger hard drive is a bonus

Transferring a four hour recording back to PC takes over 8 hours and there is no guarantee you can convert the proprietary .hav files to mpeg even afteer paying over $100.00 for DVR Studio Pro which is the only one piece of software in the world which...

I was very impressed to be able to un-wrap my new PVR, update it online, set up all the tv channels and have a basic understanding of how everything worked in under 1 hour...and more importantly before my wife got home to discover something we were not...
