I have been making copies of my old home movies for a little over two weeks with NO problems at all.

The only thing I could think of is the VCR has only a 2 heads.

Most of the functions are very basic.

Some of the functions seem really hard to understand.

great picture, easy to use, upconverts vcr signal through component jacks.

Avoid this product! There are design defaults that make it unreliable.

Would not read or write to a DVD.

The first review I wrote was because I expected a DVD recorder to playback what what discs it could record on.

On the remote that comes with the player, there's no eject button which is kind of odd.

It played some of my pre-recorded DVD-R's and a DVD+R DL flawlessly

There isn't an eject button on the remote control. That's the only complaint I have. Because the TV input is S-Video, it won't play widescreen TV or HD channels utilizing the entire real estate of your HDTV screen. They all play in Letterbox mode
