The Good: Excellent Video Quality (For a Tivo), Faroudja DCDi, high resolution up conversion of video and converts analog sound to digital for easy hookup, Tivo Basic service for fee free use, nice Tivo menu on recorded disks, good quality recordings, ...

No editing, can't record transferred content, low quality input, no flexibility, Disk at once, expensive.

The Future is NOW!

I wanted a DVD recorder for quite some time and when I first heard about Pioneer joining a DVD recorder with TiVo, I knew this was what I wanted. But, then I saw the price! When it was released to the consumer market, the 810H was north of $1100! Too ...

So easy to use...You'll wonder why you didn't have one before!

You can only record one channel at a time...it needs a dual tuner.

Great second DVR - not versatile for TV junkies

records quicker than real time - fill up full DVD in one hour

can't copy transfered shows from other tivo, stuck with original record speed, can't customize menus

Efficient, easy to use product.

Tivo Series 2 wireless capability. Clean design. Good audio/video reproduction. Easy to archive on DVD-R/RW

No 802g wireless connection. Will playback DVD+R/RW but not record. Larger hard drive?

I have to immediately note that the Pioneer DVR-810H will not let you record your camcorder footage directly to DVD and it will not let you record from other sources directly to DVD either. What you can do, ...

Picture quality in Fine and SP modes, DVD playback quality, TiVo convenience

No DVD+RW, DVD+R or DVD-RAM recording, no editing, no FireWire, price
