This product regularyl freezes and loses your recordings

 

The main reason to buy a PVR is to record TV shows to watch later. The problem with this unit is it freezes regularly (approx every 2-3 weeks at the most) and the hard drive is wiped of all recordings when it resets. So you cannot keep your recordings....

Good price. Great EPG, and very easy to use.

Freezes. Poor support from manufacturer.

I bought one in February, and was never really satisfied with it - it often froze, and this would result in programs not being recorded. It died catastrophically in June. The replacement arrived in July and was no better in terms of reliability. To be...

The EPG funtionality was good

Unreliable, froze often, fails to record shows, no ability to easily skip through shows, fast-forward and rewind don't work properly

$540.00 down the toilet

 

I purchased an FV-L1 on Friday 04 December 2009 for $540.00.(top dollar at the time). I'm writing this review on 30 August 2011, having owned and operated it for the past 18 months or so. What a waste of money. The hard drive first froze about 3 months...

it's black.......................

Expensive, complicated to set up, slow operation, constantly freezes. Pixellates constantly. Breaks down when out of warranty.
