Most of my movie collection that is not region-1 is from Asian countries, so this DVD players worked great for my needs and it is easy to install and does not take up much room. If you enjoy international movies, this model is for you!

I have had one of these for quite a while now and it still works fine, though the only thing i can currently use it on is a piece of junk screen from the 1990's , other than that its reliable even almost 6 years, (mine was made in July 2009)

I have had other Philips players that I liked better. Love the xvid and usb playback ability - won't buy a player without these options. Some retail Region 1 (USA) dvds won't play - shows a message that the disk won't play on non-modified Region 1...
