OLDER BUT STILL IN THE GAME!

Picture Quality and Construction. Remote There was a black version XV-D721BK.

Awesome quality at an excellent price

Wow! Where else could you buy a DVD player with all these features (DTS, progressive scan, zoom, strobe, shuttle jog & more) at such a great price. I was even more fortunate - the machine was on close-out at Best Buy for $259!!!!!

Excellent Picture and Sound Quality!

Buttons on remote are too small & green text is difficult to read!

Not bad, but a few pains

This DVD Player comes with what has to be the most horribly-designed remote control I have ever used. The labels on the remote are not intuitive as to what they mean, and trying to use it to change a setting in mid-movie is a complete mood killer,...

Progressive Scan, Component Outputs, and DVD-Audio.

Horrible remote and non-vanishing on-screen Zoom indicator

JVC proves best brand again

Took the dive for a progressive scan DVD player to match better with my capable TV. Amazing improvement. JVC was about the only one in my price range. If I hadn't purchased any products from them before, I might think this was a cheap knock off type...

JVC can't be beat for price/performance ratio. Many Extras, Great Picture

A little complex to tune to my liking, remote a bit unresponsive at times.

JVC XV-723GD DVD Player -- Last Year's Bargain

The ever-improving price/performance ratio of consumer electronics stops for no product, including the JVC XV-723GD. Up until late last year, this DVD player, featuring progressive-scan output and DVD-Audio capability, looked like a bargain with its...

Progressive Scan, DVD-Audio, Jog-Shuttle Dial on Remote.

Needlessly Complex Operation.

Best Progressive Scan DVD Player for the price

I had the Pioneer DV-434 for the last six months. I enjoyed the picture quality but somehow I wasn't sure I was getting the best picture quality since all other TRUE progressive scan DVD players to date are above the $800 mark. I know most...

Great progressive scan ; Great price

Remote keys a bit too small and hard to differentiate by touch

Overall terrific player at a terrific price

Great audio and video, with a lot of features.

Very few DVD Audios available, makes DVD Audio function limited.

Overall terrific player at a terrific price

This JVC player is perfect for the person who wants it all, but can't afford it all. The player has DVD-Audio capabilities for the best music you can hear. However, they are difficult to find, so that feature may be a bit limited. But even excluding...
