LG BD300 Blu-ray Disc Player

The LG BD300 has all the features you'd want in a Blu-ray player, but the images it produces aren't as good as they should be.

Supports Netflix downloads ; Supports BD-Live

Lackluster image quality ; Remote lacks a backlight

If the price were a little lower, or the image quality more consistent, the LG BD300 would be a knockout. As it stands, it's a solid player, and for now it remains the most affordable choice if you're determined to have your Blu-ray and your Netflix, too

Review: LG BD300

Still battle weary from the high-def format fight? You're not alone. Blu-ray might've KO'd HD DVD with a wild haymaker, but consumers are still lukewarm...

Relatively inexpensive and surprisingly easy to use. Quick load times for both Blu-ray and streaming content. Streaming content comes at no additional cost to existing Netflix subscribers. Reasonably clear picture for a Blu-ray player in this class....

Crippling reliance on PC input. Cluttered and confusing remote layout. Power and Eject buttons awkwardly placed. No web access = no Watch Now titles. Multichannel audio outputs are digital only

LG BD300 review: LG BD300

LG BD300

Good image quality on film-based Blu-ray Discs; Netflix Internet streaming; Profile 2.0 support; onboard Dolby TrueHD decoding.

DVD image quality is subpar; no onboard DTS-HD Master Audio decoding; no multichannel analog audio outputs; lacks built-in Wi-Fi.

The LG BD300 deftly combines Blu-ray and Netflix streaming in a single box, although there are better standalone players without Netflix.

LG BD300 Blu-ray Player With Netflix Reviewed

LG's newest Blu-ray player ($349.99) could very well be a game-changer. This Profile 2.0 player adds Netflix's Watch Instantly streaming video service, giving you access to a whole host of movies and TV shows that can be enjoyed on your big-screen TV....

The BD300's lack of internal storage requires the addition of a USBdevice for BD-Live content. This adds a little to the cost and couldcause confusion for those people who don't bother to read the manual tofind out that they must insert a USB device...

The BD300 is first and foremost a Blu-ray player - and a good one atthat. It's fast, it's user-friendly, it's Profile 2.0, and it serves upa beautiful picture with Blu-ray films. The only missing features areonboard DTS-HD decoding and multichannel...

LG BD300 Network Blu-ray PlayerReview

LG's BD300 was the first to include Netflix online streaming and now it's the first to offer YouTube access, but does the performance measure up to its robust feature set?

If you want a player that makes the most of 1080p Blu-ray Discs and also allows you to watch a large selection of video content on demand, all without the need of hooking up a computer to your TV, then the BD300 is a worthy contender for your high def...

Review: LG BD300 Blu-ray Player

With Netflix streaming to go along with high-def Blu-ray playing, LG's BD300 serves up some instant gratification.

I think AVS Forum should stop linking to Electronic House, which continues to demonstrate that is is unqualified to cover its own subject matter.

LG BD-300 Blu-ray Player

The BasicsThis Blu-Ray player is somewhat of a letdown, both in sound and video quality as well as its feature-set. It retails at a suggested price of just under $400, but offers few frills or even many standard features in mid-priced Blu-Ray players...

The downside of this service is the fact that it only streams content-it doesn't download it. This means the quality of the presentation relies completely on your Internet connection speed. When you select a film, the player starts a buffer and gives...
