DVD images should be punchier and sharper ; operation could be smoother

This recorder will do a fine job, but we don't see a jump in quality or performance compared to the last generation

Good sound and picture.

Set-up book does not tell how to alighn with the new Virgin V+ box and so will not record from the TV or V+ box. So we are using the as a DVD player only. Complete wast of money.

Indirect signals are not as clear as direct signals (eg deteriorisation of image clarity of freesat signal played through the EX89).

Overall this Panasonic DVD recorder is a very good gadget.

it is early days so not all functions have been used but recording tv, playing and recording camcorder film it has been very good.

For myself, almost exactly what I wanted. Very happy with it.

For my wife particularly, selection of device - DVD/Hard disk/SD) confusing. For myself, not confusing but not easy to see the display and would prefer to see a display on screen on changing over rather than on starting play/record.
