More than I bargained for!!!

This my first DVD player so I was no way near prepared for the joyride I have been on for the past few weeks.

SACD, Multi-channel, DVD all in one unit. incredible picture and sound.

No progressive scan and can not play DVD-A.

The Sony DVP-NC650V is a very competent DVD player that doubles as an excellent SACD player.

SACD, DTS and Dolby Digital decoders all built in

No progressive scan ; need 5.1 analog inputs on receiver for SACD, no DVD-A

WAKE UP, where are the SACDs?

Hey this is a great little package: DVD-V/SACD/CD player all in one for $189.00 at Best Buy. Amazing. So I bought it.

DVD/SACD player

After reviewing the spec and listening to both SACD and DVD-Audio, I selected SACD because of the DSD technology and the overall sound. The available catalog of music is also larger then DVD-Audio.

SONY needs to get back to the basics...

I search long and hard for a DVD 5-disc carousel player that would either have the SACD or DVD-A format. This unit is not progressive scan or MP3 compatible (My 53-inch SONY XBR doesn't accept the progressive scan signal, so I was not concerned about...

All-in-One Format, Low Price, Free DVDs...

DVD Playback freezes occasionally, no progressive or MP3 playback...

SACD is amazing! Especially Multichannel!

I am usually one to buy into new technology. I still buy laserdisc's and bought one of Sony's first minidisc players (both the portable and home units). I bought the 650 because I hadn't yet purchased a DVD player. I actually went in to the Sony store ...

Sacd! DVD and Cd changer all in one!
