BeBook Mini eBook reader

The interface doesn't thrill us, but we like the wide range of file formats supported by the BeBook Mini eBook reader

Compact, good range of formats supported, not a service-subsidised product (like the Kindle)

Clunky interface, not as sleek as the Kindle, no 3G

The BeBook Mini is a diminutive eBook reader with support for a broad range of file formats.

Endless Ideas BeBook eBook Reader

Can the BeBook take on Sony's eBook reader and win? Niall finds out.

On the plus side the BeBook supports multiple fonts and character sets and these can be changed while you're reading a book in most formats, although not in PDF documents. You can also choose between three different levels of zoom. The zoom works in...

BeBook Mini

Compact size. Good button placement. Supports many file formats. Expandable memory to 16GB through SD card slot.

Interface not intuitive for new users.

The BeBook Mini takes some getting used to, but it's the perfect handbag-sized ebook reader for someone on the go.

BeBook Mini review

For companies like BeBook, Amazon's hotly anticipated Kindle hitting the UK is a mixed blessing. On one hand, the Amazon Kindle is by far the world's best known eBook reader. On the other, the Kindle has helped raise the profile of eBooks dramatically...

We think there are many things to admire about the BeBook Mini, even though it's an uglier device than the Kindle and has a much clunkier interface. We do appreciate the support for a wide variety of file formats. As it stands, however, if you're...

BeBook e-reader review

Most of the world's great literature can be read for free online, so why are most e-readers obsessed with selling you books? We take a look at BeBook from Endless Ideas BV, an e-reader designed to display virtually any kind of digital book format.

Reads a wide range of formats, quick to charge, works for 7,500 page turns between charges

Design is old-fashioned, lacks elegance, many book formats didn't format correctly (or work at all)

Having digitised our music collections, photographs and videos we’re left with very little entertainment based on old-fashioned media formats. The printed page is the last format to go digital, but e-readers, such as BeBook, aim to turn the printed...

Review of BeBook Mini eBook Reader

Good points: good clear screen with useful numbered buttons to jump to menu items or pages. Intuitive nudge control on side for page turns. Drawbacks: Nudge control is uncomfortable on finger. Other buttons small and badly placed.
