WWE Day of Reckoning

For some reason, Nintendo consoles have always had great wrestling games. I'm sure many of you have some fond memories of grappling on an N64. WWE Day of Reckoning is the third WWE game on the Gamecube, and is easily the best of the series, if not the...

Excellent graphics ; Controls are simple, yet allow for depth in moves ; Story mode makes for a more entertaining single player experience

Too much button mashing at points ; Collision detection wasn't perfect ; Counters are a bit too common to be realistic

It's a great wrestling game, whether you're playing it alone or with friends. Check it out.

THQ's newest GameCube wrestling title is a big improvement over their previous offerings.

Tight, fun wrestling gameplay ; New story mode takes you through the WWE's ranks in real wrestling matches ; Detailed customization features

Can't use WWE superstars in the story mode ; Story mode is the same every time ; No voice for ringside announcers or cut-scenes

Story mode is a touch bland ; Still doesn't do submissions quite right ; Dull music

Day Of Reckoning takes all the basic things that developers Yukes and THQ have been putting into the previous WWE Gamecube titles, removes the silly and annoying Revenge mode that made last year's Wrestlemania XIX such a disaster, and the end result is...

WWE - Day of Reckoning. Gamecube Review

Wrasslin' on da 'cube!

Gamecube owning wrestling fans finally have a decent WWE title to grapple with. Sure, Day Of Reckoning doesn't quite capture the championship, but it proves itself to be a worthwhile contender. And this could win the title of most clichéd opening...
