With the catchphrase "Drive Like a local" can the Binatone Carrera X350 really compete against the likes of TomTom, Navman and Garmin? We get driving to find out. The Carrera X350 is one of the cheapest satnavs on the block coming with a retail price...

Binatone X350 (UK & Ireland) review

 

Binatone is best known for its cordless telephones and assorted other home electronics, but the company is now branching into satellite navigation. The X350 is comfortably the least expensive standalone satnav we've seen.

Binatone T350 UK

 

This is my first Sat Nav, I am not the best a using anything technological, and this one so far has worked very well for me I gave it a test run this morning on a journey I often do, it coped with changes in which direction I was going, the voice...

The only fault I can see so far is there are no voice options (but that is not a necessity!)

Slim design.

Maps are way out of date, last updated 2009. No maps available on company website to update device. No longer supported. Voice is irritating. A stylus is provided, but there is no place to store it..

Neat and clear; we haven't in only two outings got used to all the various bells & whistles (a big difference from our previous 5 or 6 year old one), but liked being able to turn the sound down or off, do a simulation journey, check where petrol...

Seems to get lost more than our old one - but eventually finds itself.

- Nice size - Maps look good on screen - Good to use for short occasional journeys

- Maps not fully updated - Doesn't tell you the time to arrival - No speed camera detection - Doesnt store information that well, you have to do it a few times - I'd pay a little more and get one with more of the above features - Not for regular use
