Cobra NavOne 3000 review

Cobra NavOne 3000

Large, bright screen; accurate receiver; quick satellite-signal lock; precise voice-guided directions.

Expensive; no touch screen; unintuitive menu system; too heavy for mounting hardware.

The NavOne 3000 is a respectable performer, but for $1,300, we expect top-of-the-line features such as a remote or a touch-screen menu control.

Cobra Nav One 3000

We would have considered the Nav One a noble effort a few years ago. But by today's standards, its display and interface are in urgent need of an overhaul.

Large screen, solid construction, auto-shutoff, all maps built in (no need for a PC).

Takes up a lot of windshield real estate, hard-to-use interface, confusing maps and interface.
