Navman iCN750

The new iCN750 adds digital imaging to the growing list of GPS extras.

Easy to use. Very sensitive GPS receiver. NavPix technology lets you navigate to a picture that's linked to a destination. Extensive, relatively up-to-date POI database.

Reflective screen shows fingerprints and smudges. Low-resolution camera. Relatively expensive for the included feature set.

the icn750 provides voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions. but it does not announce street names, as it lacks the text-to-speech technology found in many other gpss in its price range, such as the garmin streetpilot c550 and the magellan roadmate...

Navman iCN 750 review: Navman iCN 750

Portable navigation systems have come a long way in terms of functionality. They can talk to you , alert you to traffic , and even entertain you . However, the Navman iCN 750 goes where no GPS device has gone before by incorporating a 1.3-megapixel...

The Navman iCN 750 has a 1.3-megapixel camera that lets you create photo-based points of interest and comes preloaded with maps of North America.

The Navman iCN 750's is a bit sluggish to perform tasks and its interface isn't always intuitive. The screen is also hard to see in bright sunlight.

Though a bit sluggish, the Navman iCN 750 is an innovative image-based navigation system, offering an integrated camera and accurate driving directions.

Navman iCN 750 In-Car Navigation System

(sponsor) INTRODUCTION It's a bit tough to find innovation among the sea of in-car GPS devices making their way to the market. At the core, they all

The first GPS to integrate a camera ; Internal HDD with preloaded maps ; Good quality case ; Great mount system ; Rechargeable battery ; Pretty GUI ; Crisp widescreen ; Instant access to gas and parking POI

Very reflective screen creates glare ; Pricey (but not too bad relative to other high-end GPS) ; No battery indicator ; No remote ; Performance is a bit sluggish

NavPix is a feature much like the iPod clickwheel that many companies will try to emulate in their own products soon enough. Without completely breaking the bank, Navman offers their top-of-the-line navigation solution, and without cutting corners....

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Good product but heavy

I previously owned a Navman iCN510 and was very pleased with it. In terms of features and screen, the iCN750 is a huge improvement. However, the battery life is listed as 2.5 hours - shorter than the 510. The biggest issue is the weight of this product...

High quality and resolution screen. Good range of options. Great to have all the US maps preloaded

Very heavy. Flimsy car mount. Short battery life

Consumer review (newegg.com)

This can't be right ...

0.45" x 0.25" x 0.1" These dimensions can't be right. I don't have this GPS yet, but this is one of the things I'm considering.

Big screen, built-in HD. Navpix is a plus (though this is the main feature of this model)

A little bit heavy, and not so portable. Kind of bulky to carry around (as you need to remove it from your car)
