TomTom XL 335S

The TomTom XL 335S offers a strong feature set for a reasonable price. You get a 4.3” screen, preloaded maps of the US & Canada, seven million points of interest (POIs) and text-to-speech, so you'll hear “turn right, Oak Street,” instead of just “turn...

Just Right for Brother

People are complaining that the internal memory is not enough for the newest maps, but I connected the device to my computer, and updated the maps to the most recent with no problem. The size of the map is 1.56gbs.

The device tends to connect to 8 satellites in my area, and grabs a signal almost instantly. For $89's and free shipping the price is right for what the device is able to accomplish

None so far except for the internal memory in the device

tomtom

This is my first purchase of a TOMTOM device. I have a Garmin Nuvi 3.5" in my wifes car, and while it doesnt have the same screen & speaker quality and map editing tools, it's a lot easier to use and there is expandable memory so I can always have my...

good display, customization level of everything from map color scheme, to vehicles and voices (with lots of downloadable content). I love the mount and sound quality through the speaker are fantastic ; I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE MAP CORRECTION and map share...

So the biggest issue with this unit is that even though TomTom gives you a "Latest Map Guarantee" with the unit, the internal memory is too small to accept the newest maps, and there is no SD slot for expandable memory. As such, when you connect it to...

Nice

This thing is great. Helps me re-route through downtown LA when there is horrible traffic. Has yet to even be one minute off on my expected arrival times.

Small, responsive touch screen, bright colors, easy to use

Wrong maps

Currently sent out a ticket to Tom Tom to see if they can help me out. I really don't want to return these items since they're not defective, just doesn't have the right maps.

Nice GPS, haven't tried it yet since I don't have the correct maps

Wrong maps! on the website it says it comes with US and Canadian maps, but the two identical devices I purchased came with US only maps. Be prepared to spend an extra 50$ on Tom Tom's website to add canadian maps

Repacked not new

Quality control at NewEgg need to be revamped to prevent sending out a unit that should have been sent back to Tom Tom. Im sure it was probably an error but caused much grief.

Would have been great if was not defective unit sent to me. The seal on box was re taped and when I powered up had address of previous person that had the unit. I spent 4 hours with Tom Tom support before getting a RMA. You can not see the screen if in...

Have to upgrade online which can take 3 hours if the software to download installs to your computer without problems. They need to change the wording from plug & play to pull your hair out & stress

Reliable, compact mount

If the mount is not fully snapped in, the unit may still stay attached to the mount for quite awhile, and then suddenly fall out later. This may make it seem, to some, like the mount is unreliable. However if you snap the unit to the mount Fully,...

Compact mount. The whole unit, with the mount, is thin, and easy to carry around

It may take a bit of finesse to properly snap the unit into the mount. It can feel like it is fully snapped in, even though it is only partially snapped in
