Uniden TRAX 350 GPS unit

It lacks Bluetooth and traffic capabilities, but Uniden's TRAX 350 GPS unit is still good value.

Value for money, address search method, text-to-speech, Australian and New Zealand maps, red light and speed camera alerts, 3D landmarks and terrain

Bland design, cluttered map screen, erratic GPS performance in some areas, no Bluetooth

Uniden's TRAX 350 lacks Bluetooth and traffic capabilities, and it has a bland design. However, it offers good value.

Uniden Trax 350

Available only through Harvey Norman stores, the Trax 350 has a 3.5-inch screen, 3D terrain, 3D landmarks and safety camera locations. It misses out on the Bluetooth hands-free of the 353 model, which is available everywhere.

Speed zone nagging. Compact size.

No AC charger. Screen is slightly cluttered. Speed zone nagging is often wrong.

The Trax 350 is a budget-level GPS with good performance. It won't truly excite you, but it gets the job done.

"Love the simplicity"

I've owned this gps for almost 2 years and love it. It's so easy to use, and has never lead me astray apart from one time in Sydney CBD. I suspect this was not actually the fault of the GPS, but a major roading change.

Very easy to use

Uniden Trax 350

I have this unit. And it has a quite small screen, that is true, but you choose for that. It is a 3.5" after all. I think it is a very good unit: the Text-To-Speech works perfectly, you just have to choose the right voice! The speed warnings are just...

Uniden Trax 350

I am really dissapointed with this GPS. It doesnt do what they say it will do, according to the literature it has TTS, I have been using it around Melbourne and it has never used a street name. The speed warning is also non existent for most streets...

Can record your track (although I dont see the point of this as you cant reload the track and travel back on the same route)

TTS doesnt work ; Speed warnings dont work for most streets ; Cluttered screen ; No north up feature on 2d maps

Uniden Trax 350

I bought the Trax 350 2 months ago and it works like a charm for me. Speed limit nagging can be a pain, but it's easily turned off :-)

3D landmarks are really cool ; It is very easy to use, my mum used it a couple of times and had no problems at all ( strangely enough ; -) )

Smaller screen ( but price makes up for it)
