ViaMichelin X

You can trust your tires to the Michelin Man, so the TV ads say, but what about your navigation? I pondered that question as I opened the box of the new ViaMichelin (a division of Michelin) X-930 entry-level portable navigation system. Boasting a low...

Affordable. SiRF Star III receiver. Installation poster included.

Difficult menu system. No manual.

There are easier-to-use products at the same price point. Trust your tires, but not your navigation, to the Michelin Man.

Though its price is pretty low, this GPS model runs high on frustration.

ViaMichelin X-930 review

The X-930 is one of the cheapest on the market and, at 134g is fairly light too. Despite this it's got plenty to offer

A year review

No new map update(at least you have to pay and not sure if it would work since the firmware update not working). would rather spend the money to buy a different one than buy the update map for this one.

After a year, it is still usable (but quite right)

Very bad support from manufacture. It gets malfunctions about not able reading the SD card(the SD card is fine). Do a hard reset could fix but happen again once in while(couple weeks interval). See a firmware update from the manufacture web but unable...

Great Item

Reccommend to family and friends

Great item for the low price, slim design, great visual, audio, speech and direction. ViaMichelin support service were great

Agree with others owners about the instruction, somewhat not very clear. It took me two times to read in order to understand and function the unit correctly

Works Good, but not Vista Compatible

Quick satellite pickup, good directions, small unit, good mounting options.

ViaMichelin 930 GPS

Horrible user interface if you've ever used any other GPS, they are much easier.

Not bad for money

this product is great for delivery people, or like my self a utility repair man. havent done any long trips, but it would prolly do very well. it also does recalculating roultes well.

This navigation device is awesome. for the money you cant beat it. some people mention that you cant go back, well i dont know where they wanna go back cause i could every chance i needed too. its pretty spot on in directions and length of time, and...

i wish there was a setting to turn off directions using toles. every time it wants me to take the thruway and i know you dont have to.so it will save me like 2 minutes, well i would rather keep the 1.50 and take an extra minute

Please be aware

Be aware that this unit seems to have issues and the manufacture is aware of them. There is a complicated restore and you have to do weird things to restore it plus it can literally take hours of time to do it. I feel this is a complete waste of money...

When it works, it works very well and is a comfort while traveling. The price was good but you get what you pay for

When this stops working, it because hours of headaches to restore and do not count on much support from the manufacturer. I had mine less than 4 months and 3 trips before it quit while on the last trip. I do not trust it now for any trip and am looking...

Nice bang for the buck

Cake to install, looks good, does what it should.

Nice clean look, navigation menus are pretty simple to use. Recalculation time is very quick (under 30 seconds). Routes appear to be very actuate, but I haven't tested this feature too much as I have only had the device for a couple of weeks. Overall...

Battery seems to be weak. I would try to keep it on a power source all the time
