Beats Pro by Dr. Dre from Monster

Outfitted with flip-up ear cups and a detachable cable to suit the modern DJ, the Beats Pro by Dr. Dre from Monster offers high quality audio performance.

Excellent audio performance with strong, but not overwhelming, bass response. DJ-style flip-up ears for mixing. Detachable cable and jacks on each ear piece.

Expensive. Not comfortable when worn for long periods of time.

Beats Pro High-Performance (White) review

It's been three years since the world was first introduced to the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line, and it's definitely grown to become a Monster of a business (pun intended). From earbuds to portable speakers to iPod docks to laptops, Dr. Dre and...

Quality construction; dual input/output audio ports for communal listening; thumping bass; ear cushions can be removed and replaced.

May not be comfortable for everyone; weight is a little on the heavy side; some songs can sound harsh; travel case doesn't match up to the professional packaging of its predecessors.

The Beats Pro by Dr. Dre from Monster Headphones deliver a sturdy design and top-notch sound quality for those who enjoy skull-shattering bass. If you're a casual listener and can afford them, they're a worthy investment, but if you're an audio purist...

Monster Beats Pro

The Monster Beats Pros are a set of higher-end closed-backed over-ear headphones with a very rugged build and high amount of flair. They perform well enough, but they have a very heavy bass response and little in the way of noise attenuation or...

Good tracking and distortion

Terrible isolators ; Not hugely comfortable ; Bass boosted way out of proportion

Not studio headphones, not bad headphones.

Beats by Dr. Dre – Beats Pro (White) Review

It's no secret that Beats by Dr. Dre headphones have become a world wide phenomenon. On average you will probably spot at minimum of two people a day sporting them. This isn't just on a national level, but an international level as well. Just recently...

Low-end is alive and well; solid construction down to the cable; dual input/output audio ports; comfy ear cups that can also be easily wiped clean

Could be too heavy to wear for some; Flip-up ear cups are a nice touch but don't work to well in practical use; carrying case is a bit disappointing

The Beats Pro are certainly an impressive looking pair of headphones. There hasn’t been one person who hasn’t commentated on them when I take them out of my bag or travel with them. This time around Beats got it right by constructing a pair of...

Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Beats Pro Headphones Reviewed

Monster continues the company's Beats by Dre line of headphones with the Beats Pro headphones. These headphones make some important and impressive improvements on their predecessors.

The Beats Pro are still garish in terms of design, one that screams, "Look at me," but there's no denying their build quality which appears very solid and built for the long haul ; The Beats Pro's ear cups are well padded and comfortable and able to be...

The Beats Pro headphones are not as travel friendly as earlier designs, thanks to their more robust padding and construction, though I'd take their improved build quality over portability any day ; The Beats Pro headphones are heavy, really heavy and...

It's always nice to revisit a formerly dreadful product and come away the second time pleasantly surprised, which is precisely what has happened following my demo of the Beats Pro headphones. Across the board, everything about the Beats Pro's...

Beats Pro Headphones by Dr. Dre from Monster (Playback 39)

Over the past several years, Monster has successfully moved beyond its beachhead in cables and accessories to build not one but two wide and popular lines of headphones—one line under the Monster name and the other under the new Beats by Dr. Dre brand...

Monster Beats Pro

Solid build and lots of style, but an overzealous bass response

Good tracking and distortion

Terrible isolators; Not hugely comfortable; Bass boosted way out of proportion

Overall, the Monster Beats Pro are not a bad set of over-ear headphones. They have decent audio quality, extremely rugged design and are very stylish. They do have their share of drawbacks, but some of these (like comfort) are actually more or less...

Monster Beats Pro by Dr. Dre Review

The perfect headphones for DJs.

Great to look at, feels like an expensive pair of headphones, swiveling ear cups and daisy chaining feature make it great for DJs, Great bass

Pricey and uncomfortable if used for a long period of time

Overall, these are great earphones for DJs. The swiveling ear cups and daisy chaining features surely give them an advantage over other headphones to the disk jockey demographic. If you are a music aficionado and a bit of a pop fashionista, the Pro...

Review: Monster Beats Pro

Monster goes for the audiophile and pro crowd with its top headphones.

Powerful but not overwhelming bass ; Distinct, clean high-range sounds ; High quality construction ; Tasteful but unique design ; Flip-up cups, daisy-chain audio ; Detachable cord

Expensive for casual listeners ; Heavy ; Lack of internal amp may affect some output ; No mic or remote

Design and extrasWhatever you think of its cabling, Monster Cable has built its brand reputation on insane quality construction, and the Beats by Dr. Dre line has been no exception to this. The Beats Pro, however, may take build quality and fini
