Like a pair of velvet slippers for your ears. These are some of the comfiest cans I’ve ever put on my head. Zero ear fatigue even after epic listening sessions. Classic design cues and quality materials make for one gorgeous, yet tough, headphone....

Just as big and bulky as your dad’s old cans — not the most travel-friendly option. Semi-open design means some sonic leakage, so anyone sitting next to you will be listening to your music, too. Treble can be a bit harsh at times

The Beyerdynamic DT 880 headphones are among the most comfortable on the market, and they come packaged in a gorgeous padded aluminum storage case. The headphones use a standard miniplug connector but include a 1/4-inch adapter and a 15-foot extension...

The DT 880s are expensive, and ill suited for use with the iPod.

The Beyerdynamic DT 880s are extra comforatable and their sound is certainly audiophile level, but stereo imaging isn't as wide open as other top contenders.

The DT 880 are good critical listening headphones with a well-balanced and open sound. They have a durable build, and they're decently comfortable, but they're a bit cumbersome to carry around without a bag. Also, their semi-open design doesn't block...

Great audio reproduction. ; Sturdy build quality.

Very sensitive to ambient noise, by design. ; Bulky and unstable design.

Beyerdynamic DT 880 headphones

 

Headphones are to speakers as motorcycles are to automobiles. Not as generally useful, sure, but significantly better in some respects. And a whole lot cheaper for a given level of performance

But I'd buy 'em. Highly recommended
