Bowers and Wilkins P5 Series 2 (review): Swanky on-ear headphone looks the same but sounds even better

The $300 Bowers and Wilkins P5 Series 2 has the same winning design of its highly rated predecessor, but its sound engine has been upgraded. We approve.

The Bowers and Wilkins P5 Series 2 headphones have excellent build quality and rich, well-balanced sound that's now more transparent and accurate. Its earpads are removable and the two included cables are detachable (one has a built-in Apple friendly...

Somewhat pricey; leather earpads will cause your ears to get steamy on warmer days; not all remote features will work with Android and Windows devices.

The Bowers and Wilkins P5 Series 2 has the same winning design of its highly rated predecessor, but now it sounds even better.

Bowers & Wilkins P5

The brand's first Bluetooth headphones with exceptionally sweet sound

Best headphones ever

I plugged this into my Windows phone and Zune. It made music on my Windows phone and Zune MP3 player sound fantastic. These headphones really take advantage of your quality or decent MP3 audio files. I hear things I never heard before.

2 year warranty compared to 1 year by other brands, built quality, comfortable, and sound is fantastic.

The cord does not seem that long enough, and built in mic is hit and miss with Windows phone. I can only pause, sometimes control volume, and I can use the microphone.

Fantastic headphones

Really well balanced spectrum-wise, clean and precise sound, super comfortable, great for every style. Best set of cans I've owned so far. Definitely not as boomy as the QCs (over the top) but the mellowness and warmth of the bass takes away the need...

Well-balanced, shines in all sorts of musical styles, keeps out the noise (perfect for train and air travel).

A bit uncomfortable if you're wearing glasses after a while.

Amazing sound, great isolation, okay comfort.

I got these cans a few months ago, and after sufficient time to test them I've decided that I'm a big fan. First off, they're a sexy pair of headphones, and have a much higher level of build quality than other headphones in the price range (Bose, Beats...

Best sounding headphones for the price.

Much better sound than Bose.

Flat frequency response -- accurate bass.

Sound isolating, not sound reducing. Microphone useless unless you own an Iphone.

Best Earphones for a true HQ mobile Hi-Fi experience!

I was looking a long time for the right earphones. I was considering everything from In-Ear to over the ear cans, from Bluetooth (had the mm450 from Sennheiser for a short time) to DJ cans (exmpl. HD 25). In the end I was simply concentrating on what...

- unbelievable build quality - rich balanced sound - specially made for apple Products - the whole B&W experience (Society of Sound) - Packaging - remote/mic - sexy look

tough to find any though I agree that for this price I would have expected a bit better protected cable, but this is no deal breaker

Well built. Great sound.

Good looking and well built headphones that produce a great sound. They do fit tightly on your ears and can be slightly uncomfortable early on.

Awesome headphones

Between P7 and this one, I chose this because I wear eye glasseses and this one fits well by sitting over the ear without pressing on the frame. Clarity is superb and the base is good

Top shelf

I paired these with my 160 gig ipod playing apple lossless files and could not believe the sound from these headphones. B&W hit a home run with these. The base is right there not to boomy and not lacking. The mids dead on and the highs are crisp. I...
