Bowers & Wilkins P5 review

The P5 are super stylish and sound good, but you'd better be ready for a powerful ride.

If the Bowers & Wilkins P5 look like an Aston Martin, they sound like a muscled up Mustang. While the low end can get a little pushy for our ears, those seeking powerful, musical bass without sacrificing lucidity in the midrange and treble will...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless

Like its wired sibling, the P5 Wireless has the look and feel of a higher-end headphone , with a swanky, sturdy design that's a mix of retro and modern styling. For an on-ear model, it's comfortable, though not exceptionally so. At 213 grams, it weighs...

The Bowers and Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones have excellent build quality and deliver rich, well-balanced sound for Bluetooth headphones (they perform even better in wired mode). The earpads are removable, and a cable is included for wired listening...

Pretty pricey for an on-ear Bluetooth headphone; leather earpads will cause your ears to get steamy on warmer days (headphones may fit some people a little too snugly); included cable doesn't have an inline remote/microphone.

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless is an impressive-sounding luxury Bluetooth headphone, but its high price tempers our enthusiasm.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless is one of the more expensive Bluetooth headphone pairs on the market for good reason—it delivers brilliant audio in a smart, attractive design.

Fantastic audio performance with rich, articulate lows and crystal clear highs. Smart, handsome design with secure, comfortable fit. Wired, passive mode automatically shuts off battery.

Expensive. Included cable lacks remote control.

There aren't many Bluetooth headphone pairs that sound more balanced and full than the P5 Wireless, but at $400, it's quite an investment. In this price range, another excellent Bluetooth option is the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless, which also offers...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless Headphones Review

Bringing style and wireless convenience to your everyday life.

Wireless headphones are all the rage these days and with options that range from the $70 JLab Audio Omni Wireless to the $400 premium options like the P5 Wireless or the Sony MDR-1ABT , it can be hard to find the right fit for you. Luckily, Bowers &...

Review: B&W P5 Wireless headphones offer crisp and clear cable-free listening

Many companies have leaped gleefully into the choppy, Bluetooth-tinted waters of personal wireless listening, but Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) has made a more measured entry. Citing advancements in Bluetooth technology, namely the aptX standard, the British...

The on-ear design won't be for everybody, but one advantage they do have on their over-the-ear equivalents is their smaller, more manageable shape and size. It may sound immaterial, but when your head's rested on a pillow or rolling from one side of...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless Headphones Review

We loved Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2 headphones, and now Bowers has done us a solid by making them available as wireless headphones too. Like the wired model, the headphones sport a closed-back design with rigid metal faceplates crafted from aluminum...

Phenomenal build quality, crazy comfortable to wear, great noise isolation – even on a busy street, audiophile performance, good call quality, folds flat for travel, pretty lightweight, luxurious design, as soon as you plug in a 3.5mm cable the battery...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless are simply the wireless edition of the P5 Series 2 headphones I reviewed earlier this year. With this added functionality, you can now stream wirelessly from your phone. In most other respects, however, the design is...

High-class style ; Rich sound ; Wireless

Some report connectivity complaints ; Thick sound limits separation ; On-cup buttons could be refined

Luxurious, good-sounding wireless headphones – but for the price there are better units available.

B&W P5 Wireless review

Best wireless headphones £200-£300, Awards 2016. Bowers & Wilkins enters the Bluetooth headphone market. Do the B&W P5 Wireless cans have what it takes to compete?

Excellent sound ; Lovely design and build ; Easy Bluetooth operation

Nothing of note

The cord is cut but the quality remains. These are excellent Bluetooth headphones

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones review: Class without the cables

When Bowers & Wilkins released the T7 wireless Bluetooth speaker , its quality considering its portability was outstanding. It was also the first time the company had opted for that specific wire-free technology, having only dabbled with Apple AirPlay...

Beautifully designed for aesthetics and comfort, Bluetooth 3.0 aptX compatible, 17 hours of battery life per charge, audiophile standard performance

Pricey when compared to the wired P5 headphones and some competitors

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones are, quite simply, among the best wire-free cans we've heard. That's why they come at a premium.

Bowers and Wilkins P5 Wireless review

Stunning wireless audio...but with a connectivity catch

Fantastic sound quality ; aptX support ; Great battery life ; Easy to connect

Often flaky Bluetooth ; Cheap-feeling control buttons ; Pricey ; Can get uncomfortable when wearing glasses

The sound quality of these wireless headphones is excellent; rich, detailed and surprisingly powerful. But the P5 Wireless is let down by some flaky, frustrating Bluetooth connectivity problems.
