Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 Review

Rich and detailed audio from dual drivers ; Case doubles as an audio transmitter for wired sources ; Capable of hi-res streaming ; Water- and dust-resistant build ; Attractive design

Expensive ; Merely decent noise cancellation ; App lacks an EQ ; Middling battery life

The premium Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 earphones stand out for their dual-driver setup and hi-res streaming capabilities, but offer just average noise cancellation for the price.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2

The superior audio brand offers great sound at a premium price, but the competition has better noise cancellation—and for less money.

Superb sound ; Comfortable for long listening sessions ; Innovative charging case doubles as an audio transceiver

Mediocre call quality ; ANC doesn’t match the less-expensive competition’s offering ; No LDAC support

The Pi7 S2 are some of the best-sounding in-ear monitors for Android users who listen to high-resolution files or music streaming services, but frequent flyers will find their noise cancellation wanting.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: Great sound, great looks, average adaptive ANC

The Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 jumps into a crowded pool of competing ANC TWS earbuds and delivers average performance for the price.

Very nice looking design ; Quality earbud build ; Easy to use and setup ; Good app with a nice EQ option ; Great sound and neutral soundstage ; Good fitment ; Decent battery life

Awkward to remove from the case ; Case is cheap feeling and cheaply built ; Adaptive ANC is just average, it does not stand out over the competition ; Price may scare some users away

The Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 earbuds are fantastic for those worried only about sound. They sound fantastic, with a nice natural soundstage with a comfortable bass boost that does not overpower. If you’re looking for ANC performance, then the Pi7 S2s...

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review - How much better than the original? - The Gadgeteer

If you are still using earbuds you got for $50-$100 a few years ago, the Pi7 S2 earbuds will simply blow you away. They sound that good. However, if you have the original Pi7 earbuds, the subtle improvements are not enough to justify purchasing again.

Excellent audio quality ; Has updated features vs the original ; Comfortable ; Good ANC

Expensive ; Give the case and earbuds a bit more grip ; The app is not as developed as it could be

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review

Premium earbuds with not-so-premium performance

Clear, detailed, spacious sound ; Classy design and finish ; Retransmitter case feature ; No more audio drop-outs

Very expensive ; Missing features offered by cheaper rivals ; Sound quality bettered by more affordable rivals

B&W may have fixed some of the issues we had with the original Pi7 buds, but the sequel still falls behind fiercely talented rivals – and is still incredibly expensive.

Bowers & Wilkins PI7 S2 review: a new level of premium?

B&W's second-gen true wireless earbuds are premium yet pricey in-ear options – so are they worth it?

Articulate, expansive and entertaining sound ; Impressively built and finished ; Much-improved Bluetooth stability

Ordinary powers of noise-cancellation ; Equally ordinary battery life ; Unblinkingly expensive

Just like the product they replace, the PI7 S2 have some areas of genuine sonic expertise - and they’re just about as upmarket in terms of build and finish as the heady price tag demands. It’s around the edges of performance, though - especially where...

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: A tough sell

B&W's updated true wireless buds bring a handful of new changes, but how do they compare in a more competitive market than ever?

Rich, refined sound ; Gorgeous design ; Stable, reliable performance

That price... ; Noise cancelling is just ok ; Battery life is lacking ; Bass might be too much for some

The B&W Pi7 S2 are gorgeous looking earbuds that offer a rich and refined sound. However, they are very expensive and we're not sure the offering here, when compared to the competition, makes that price tag make sense.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: great buds, but rivals offer more

The style-centric, sonically-focused earphones boost connectivity - but the Pi7 S2 has some tough in-ear competition

Premium look and feel ; Nicely balanced sound

Noise cancellation isn’t the best ; Both the buds and case are bulky

They sound simply brilliant, but the active noise cancellation isn’t up with the best.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: Top-notch sound but at a price

The B&W Pi7 S2 improve on their predecessors and sound fantastic but are a bit of an outlier in the current true wireless climate

Premium sound quality ; Luxurious appearance ; Bluetooth transmitter functionality

Noise cancellation is middling ; Fit can be fiddly ; Very expensive
