Grado Prestige Series SR325e: High-end headphones that deliver a clear and open sound

While they aren't for bass lovers, the SR325e headphones deliver very open, detailed sound that makes them exciting to listen to.

The sturdily built Grado Prestige Series SR325e headphones offer very clear, detailed sound and spacious stereo imaging thanks to the open-back design.

Some people may be fans of Grado's firm foam earpads -- but others may not be so enamored of their comfort level. No carrying case included.

Grado Prestige Series SR325e

Grado, which is based in Brooklyn, N.Y., and builds most of its products there, has not changed the iconic exterior design of the headphones and like its SR325 predecessors (the previous model was the SR325i), his model has the same firm, bowl-shaped...

Grado SR325e HEADPHONES

The Grado SR325 have good and open sound reproduction for critical listening. Unfortunately, they are subpar headphones for everyday use. They leak enough to be distracting to the people around you even at lower volumes and also will quickly fall off...

Good and open sound reproduction. ; Decent build quality.

Easily fall off your head. ; Poor noise isolation, by design.

Best home on-ear headphones £200-£400, Awards 2016. The musical, detailed sound of the Grados makes them a truly top buy

Tonal balance ; Transparent across frequencies ; Expressive dynamics ; Good rhythmic drive ; Precise timing ; Fast, agile ; Rugged build ; Recent price drop

Nothing

Best home on-ear headphones £200-£400, Awards 2016. Remaining unbeaten at this price, these hugely revealing Grados are a compelling buy

Pound for Pound, the Best Grado Out There

Well here's the long and the short of it: the new 'e' version of the Grado SR325 is the best one yet. And, IMHO it's the best Grado for the money. Here's why: I've listened to a lot of headphones. A lot a lot. More than anyone should. And as such, I've...

These are the most significant investment in headphones I've made since I was 14 when I splashed out a fool's ransom on the 1st gen, Sennheiser HD400. I'm a little older but really none the wiser on the mechanics of these beauties but here goes....

Astonishing sound quality and well built

These sounded great out of the box but were a tad harsh on the ear. After a few days burn in on constant replay of CDs they calmed down and sounded even better. So much space around the instruments, very fast sounding with plenty of slam and a tight...
