House of Marley Smile Jamaica

The House of Marley Smile Jamaica earphones is an affordable, eco-friendly earphone option for serious bass lovers, but they aren't for those seeking a balanced mix.

Powerful, clean audio performance geared toward bass lovers. Green materials including FSC-certified wood and recyclable aluminum.

Massive bass presence overpowers high-mids and highs. Light on accessories.

Performance and Conclusions On tracks with heavy levels of sub-bass, like The Knife's "Silent Shout," the Smile Jamaica delivers some serious thunder. The lows are definitely exaggerated, but they also don't distort, even at top, very unsafe listening...

House of Marley's Smile Jamaica review

House of Marley is a relatively new entrant in the world of headphones, arriving at the end of 2011 and one of a crop of headphones using a celebrity musician -- in this case Bob Marley. Our resident audiophiliac, Steve Guttenberg, liked what he heard...

The House of Marley Smile Jamaica headphones feature amazing build quality for a very small price. The bass response is full without becoming "one note" or bloated. The features are well-thought-out with a one-button mic remote, which works for iOS and...

The bass can unduly dominate rock music or pop music. Other headphones have greater sparkle or detail. The cable can be microphonic.

Like many celebrity-endorsed headphones, the House of Marley Smile Jamaica has a bass-heavy response, but an excellent price and build elevate it above its peers.

House Of Marley Smile Jamaica Review: Huge Sound, Tiny Price

We've had the opportunity to review House of Marley headphones and speakers in the past, and have always come away impressed. Their commitment to providing not only excellent sound, but responsibly and sustainably sourced materials make for a great set...

Small, yet solid design. Huge sound in a tiny package. Can't beat the price

Sound does still skew slightly towards bass at the expense of some of the high end

This is a great pair of inexpensive earbuds from the House of Marley. Their performance far exceeds their purchase price.

House of Marley Smile Jamaica Wireless

House of Marley's Smile Jamaica Wireless earphones offer balanced sound at a great price, but are let down by poor battery life.

Balanced sound is great for the price ; Good build quality

Poor battery life ; Not for fans of big bass

A surprisingly competent budget offering from Marley that provides great sound, even if the battery life isn’t what it could be.

House of Marley Smile Jamaica in ear headphones

The price of this group of in ear headphones seems to vary according to their colour. With Midnight being nearly 50% more expensive than curry, here I am listening to a mid-range unit called Fire at least I think I am as the box has no part number.

The length of the supplied lead is 1.3metres. From the ears it is 30cm to the point where two leads become one. Around 10cm from the left ear is the now near ubiquitous control to stop/play, back and forward control. The lead itself is fabric in...

House of Marley Smile Jamaica Review: Bass on a Budget

Great build quality Good bass response

Silicon tips are uncomfortable Mids don't sound good

The bass-heavy sound signature of the House of Marley Smile Jamaica might not have gone down very well with us but we know that many will like it. At Rs. 1,040 (the current discounted price on its official e-commerce platform), the Smile Jamaica is a...

Don't Worry Be Happy

My son bought the earphones within the last year. The sound in one earphone stopped working. We were really disappointed until we read up on the House of Marley and talked to their customer service people. Don't worry, Be happy is alive and well. They...

Marley Jammin' earbuds are awesome!

Overall, these are great earbuds that everyone should consider. Good price and they look amazing

Great bass, ecofriendly (made out of wood), fabric cord, comfortable (choose correct ear piece), affordable price, amazing design.

Bass can be a little too much sometimes (rarely) If the ear pieces are too big, the sound can be fuzzy

Broke really soon.

I liked the sound and light weight, until they broke. I decided it was worth cutting my losses and buying some Skullcandy's at half the price. Best decision I ever made. on Nov 8, 2012

Really great sound and lightweight. Does come with a warranty.

One ear bud stopped working after just a few short weeks of light-moderate use. A little bass-heavy. The warranty is a hassle
