Jabra Sport Pulse review

Jabra's Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds deliver fantastic fitness functionality, but a poor seal makes for sub-par sound quality.

We wish the Sport Pulse Wireless fit and sounded better. We’re not applying audiophile principles here, it’s just that when music sounds empty and distant, it tends to suck the wind right out of your sails … and your workout. Still, it could be argued...

Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless review

I get a lot of emails about what I think the best wireless sports headphones are, and it's always a difficult question to answer. The Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless are the best-selling headphone in the category and offer decent fit and sound, but not...

The Jabra Sport is a wireless Bluetooth headphone that offers a secure, comfortable fit, is water, shock, and dust resistant, and has built-in heart-rate monitor that works well.

Could sound better for a $200 headphone; battery life is only 4.5 hours.

If you prize its built-in heart-rate monitor over top-notch sound quality, the Jabra Sport Pulse one of the better wireless sports headphones out there, particularly in terms of fit and features.

Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless

Jabra can't make up for mediocre sound performance, even with the unique, handy heart rate monitor built into its gym-friendly Sports Pulse Wireless Bluetooth earphones.

Heart rate monitor is functional. App offers useful features for workouts.

Sound profile lacks a sense of warmth or bass presence. Short battery life.

Performance and Conclusions Fitness earphones need to balance gym-friendly design with performance, and can't be expected to offer the same performance of less rugged, completely music-focused earphones. When you're adding Bluetooth and a heart rate...

Great fit, sleek design, sweat resistant, nice app.

Maybe a slightly lower price point.

Jabra’s Sport Pulse and Coach running headphones take big steps

The Bluetooth workout headphone field is as wide as it is colorful. It's one that Danish wireless headset maker Jabra has been involved with for some time now, with its simply named Sport line

Both headphones do a great job staying in place when you’re running and deliver solid sound at the same time. The Sport Pulse is meant for runners, cyclists and any other athletes whose exercise relies on the cardiovascular system doing tons of work....

Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless Headphones Review

However, $200 is a hard pill to swallow for a pair of earbuds, but Jabra offers cheaper options, like the $150 Sport Coach and the $100 Sport Pace . There’s also the Backbeat Fit from Plantronics for $90.

Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless Earbuds Review

The Jabra Sport Pulse earbuds prove that the company remains an audio master, but this product misses the mark with its fitness tracking. Listening to music while working out is a wonderful experience with these earbuds, but the heart rate monitor...

Comfortable, stylish design ; Great overall audio quality ; Connects to many third-party apps

Heart rate monitor isn't accurate ; Requires charging

The Jabra Sport Pulse earbuds provide great sound quality in a convenient wireless design, but its heart rate monitor isn't the most accurate.
