JBL Live 660NC Wireless Review

The JBL Live 660NC Wireless are over-ear headphones with active noise cancelling (ANC). Out-of-the-box, they have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile, but if you...

ANC can reduce mid to treble-range noise. Parametric EQ and presets available. Stable and decently comfortable fit.

Can make your ears warm over time. Poor passive soundstage. Mediocre noise handling. ANC struggles to cut down bass-range noise. Can only receive audio with their TRS to TRRS cable.

The JBL Live 660NC are decent for neutral sound. Out-of-the-box, they have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile with a touch of extra thump and punch. That said, you can customize their sound using their companion app's parametric EQ or presets if you...

JBL Tune 660NC Wireless Review

The JBL Tune 660NC Wireless are fairly versatile on-ear headphones with a long continuous battery life of roughly 42 hours. They have a slightly v-shaped sound p...

Good breathability. Convenient onboard controls. Decent mic recording quality. Very good battery performance. Don't leak too much sound. Support multi-device pairing. Decently consistent sound delivery. 1/8" TRS to TRRS audio cable included.

Mediocre build quality. No IP rating for water resistance. No sound customization features. No carrying case or pouch included. Mic has mediocre noise handling. May not be comfortable for long sessions. Disappointing ANC performance.

The JB Tune 660NC are good for neutral sound. They deliver sound quite consistently and have a slightly v-shaped sound profile, which adds a bit of extra rumble, punch, and brightness. They should be suitable for a variety of genres, though. However,...

JBL Live 660NC review

At $199, the JBL Live 660NC undercuts the competition with strong audio, noise cancellation, and battery life, but is also painful to wear.

Bass-forward sound ; Longer battery life than most premium noise-cancelling models ; Effective noise cancellation ; Excellent connectivity ; Numerous features via companion app

Very uncomfortable ; Buggy voice assistance ; Highs don’t shine

Nonetheless, the Live 660NC has so much going for it that a lot of $200 headphones simply don’t, which makes them an inexpensive standout.

JBL Tune 660NC review: these headphones are a no-brainer if you’re on a budget

The JBL Tune 660NC are pretty much the whole package for less than $100 / £100

Excellent noise cancellation ; Comfortable design ; Long-lasting battery

Volume controls aren’t very intuitively placed ; Audio is very bass-heavy ; Prone to scratches

Not everyone is prepared to pay above the odds for a pair of headphones, though it seems unfair that you’ll be cursed with poor sound quality because of it. Not anymore, the JBL Tune 660NC have impressive, detailed, punchy sound and fantastic...
