Sennheiser PX 100-IIi Headset (Black) review

Introduction The Sennheiser PX 100-IIi headphones are a modern update to the PX 100 that builds on the classic circumaural (ear-covering) design with a tougher headband, a three-button in-line remote to control your digital music player, and a single...

The lightweight Sennheiser PX100-IIi improves on an earlier design with reinforced hinges for extra durability, an in-line remote, and single-sided cabling for tangle-free transportation and storage in the included carrying bag.

A prevalent midbass hump muddies the low-end spectrum and adds misplaced sonic weight for music with homophonic melodies, such as classical and jazz.

Despite their lightweight structure, the Sennheiser PX100-IIi headphones are surprisingly powerful, and we recommend them for travelers, students, and anyone else shopping for new open-backed headphones.

Sennheiser PX100-IIi Headphones Review

Brilliance in a small package.

Crisp sound, Deep bass, Very sturdy, Quite comfortable

1.2m cable may be too small for some, Sounds terrible when plugged into a PC

The in-line remote control looks very sleek, with its three buttons; plus & minus for volume control, and center button to forward tracks or to receive & end calls. The built-in mic is pretty good for both recording voice memos as well as making calls....

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Excellent

I bought Sennheiser px 100-ii on simpleshoppinglink.com. I listen to every day, winter and summer, and stack them, and the cable is twisted. I never soldered and have not changed the dynamics. I ride with them on the bike, and they fell repeatedly....

Perfect sound, made with great care

Nothing, as for me

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Outstanding sound and functionality at a great price.

At low to medium volumes, the ability to hear adjacent noises is excellent. These are great for situations that require sonic awareness of surroundings such as bike messaging, waiting rooms, etc. Quality for for price makes them a superb value. Smart...

Sound profile is warm; bass reproduction is impressive in on-ear drivers of this size. They are quite comfortable; ear fatigue is virtually nil even after several hours of use. Extremely faithful reproduction of source material.

Construction is slightly flimsy. These 'phones will not suffer even medium abuse gladly. Straight plug virtually guarantees cord short eventually. L-plug would have been better. Could be a little louder.
