Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Gaming Headset

Sleek headset for consoles and PC gaming.

Since audio is such an intimate personal experience, and highly subject to individual preferences, it's not an easy market to tackle. However, Sharkoon as done a good job with the X-Tatic SP on the whole. The ability to connect to a console or PC can...

Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Stereo Headset Review

Stylish, Comfortable, Long cables, In-line volume control, Xbox connectivity, PlayStation 3 connectivity, Great sound output, Microphone is extreme receptive, Affordable

No 5.1, Bass could be punchier

Final ThoughtsI’m going to try and wrap this up without repeating what was said about the SX headset that we reviewed, and deep down they are very similar headsets with one giving extra connectivity and that is certainly the unique selling point of...

Sharkoon X-Tatic SX & X-Tatic SP Review

Sharkoon has released two new headsets, primarily designed for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. We take a look at how they perform.

Great quality construction ; Attractive design ; Good range of connectivity options ; Comfortable ; In line analogue volume and microphone control ; Microphone performance is fantastic

USB interference ; Overall average sonic performance ; (SP only) Price

These two headsets are identical in performance, comfort and quality, and only differ in the features they offer and price. At just shy of £40, the X-Tatic SX represents good value for money. You get a well-constructed, good looking, solid performing...

Hinge

I thought that they'd be more rugged, but apparently not. The hinge really is quite weak made from plastic.

They had great sound quality when I had them. I was able to hear enemies coming up in BC2. They were wonderful until... See cons

The hinge that the headset twists on to adjust to your head horizontally broke when I dropped it two feet from the ground while trying to get out of my car

Amazing

Newegg gets two thumbs up!

Works for xbox360, PC, as well as Ps3. Sound is wonderful with some amazing bass. Works perfect for long periods of use because unlike most headsets it sits perfectly over your ears and does not hurt at all after extended periods of use

Great sound quality ; Great usability (works flawlessly with my computer and my 360) ; Good Build Quality (sturdy and rather nice looking) ; Great Base, High's and Low's

a background hiss noise that is only noticeable when you plug the audio cable in to any output without it actually streaming music at all... once anything is providing audio input, you cant hear it
