Sonos Ace review: These headphones are almost as awesome as we’d hoped

The Sonos Ace are a superb set of wireless headphones that have the potential to become a must-have accessory for Sonos owners.

Excellent design and comfort Intuitive tactile controls Very good sound quality Top-notch ANC and transparency Fun Sonos soundbar integration

Lacks full Sonos system integration No Wi-Fi streaming TV Audio Swap needs improvement

“Incredible comfort, simplicity, and sound make us wish the Sonos Ace were fully integrated into the Sonos ecosystem.”

Sonos Ace Review

Balanced sound ; Effective noise cancellation ; Can swap audio with certain Sonos speakers via Bluetooth ; Intuitive controls ; Attractive design

Expensive ; No true Wi-Fi features

The Sonos Ace headphones look elegant, sound fantastic, and deliver high-quality noise cancellation, though they offer less compatibility with other Sonos products than you'd expect.

Sonos Ace review: was it worth it?

Sonos is going through a tumultuous period . Its redesigned app has gotten mixed reviews, to put it lightly, and there's a widespread perception that Sonos released it in an undercooked state because the company was hell-bent on shipping its first-ever...

Stylish design and excellent comfort ; Sound, ANC, and transparency are all good ; TV Audio Swap is convenient, versatile, and suitable for gaming

TV Audio Swap completely absent from Android at launch ; TV Audio Swap handoff can be glitchy ; Beam and Ray soundbars unsupported for now ; Headphones can’t be grouped with Sonos speakers

Sonos Ace

Sonos, the king of whole-home audio is heading outside and already sits at the highest echelon of noise-canceling headphones.

Lightweight design. Comfortable memory foam ear pads with gentle clamping force. Excellent transparency mode. Top-tier noise canceling. 30 hours of battery life. Clean looks. Included hard case. Flat, dynamic sound with great, but not too boomy, bass.

No Wi-Fi onboard for “traditional” Sonos integration. Expensive. Sonos app has been buggy since the refresh.

Sonos Ace Review: Worth The Price, But Not For The Reason You'd Think - SlashGear

Sonos Ace are the brand's long-awaited headphones made manifest, with high-end audio and some rather unique features onboard -- for a considerable price.

Sonos Ace review: These $449 headphones are so close (yet so far) from perfect

Sonos' premium headphones deliver high-end audio performance and features but stumble with hard-to-miss imperfections.

Well-constructed build is very comfortable ; Sonos' signature sound is unrivaled ; Movie-watching is three-dimensional and immersive

ANC could be stronger considering the price ; Headlining features are unavailable to some until an unspecified date

Sonos Ace Review

When it comes to over-ear headphones, most people would think of Bose or Sony but this year, Sonos is throwing its hat into the ring with the company's first pair of headphones, the Sonos Ace. Design & Hardware The design of the Sonos Ace headphones...

Comfortable to wear ; Great noise cancelling and Aware mode ; TV audio swap is neat and works well ; Solid 30 hrs of battery life ; Good build quality

More expensive than competitors ; The new Sonos app isn’t great and buggy ; Limited EQ options ; TV Audio swap currently only works with Sonos Arc/Arc SL at launch

Overall, the Sonos Ace are a good pair of headphones with great Active Noise Cancellation with solid sound quality. However, the headphones are more expensive than its competition (especially in Canada) and the newly updated Sonos app still needs some...
