Sony XBA-1Headphone

Meet the XBA-1, the new balanced armature in-ear headphones from Sony. Boasting a good frequency response, and decent array of customization options, the Sony XBA-1 offers a lot of bang for the buck, if you're willing to make a few small tradeoffs....

Good frequency response ; Wide array of sleeve sizes

High THD power sum ; No chance at recabling

Above average headphones should be good, but lack headset features.

Sony XBA-1

The Sony XBR-1s punch a bit above their weight class.

Good frequency response; Wide array of sleeve sizes

High THD power sum; No chance at recabling

If you don’t mind the lack of a remote, and you’re looking for entry-level headphones that punch a bit above their weight class, the Sony XBA-1s are surprisingly good for the money you’d shell out for them. By maintaining a decent frequency response...

Run away... run away...

This is Sony's attempt to get you onto the Balanced Armiture bandwagon. They offer 2, 3, and 4 driver models which feature real bass, treble and all of the above, respectively. I do give Sony nods for the more than complete set of earplugs. I didn't...

Good noise isolation

No bass, minimal treble

Sounds amazing :D

Worth every dollar i paid for them :) I would recommend it to everyone I know, in fact I have already convinced some friends to buy them!

Excellent sound quality, the many tips provided make finding the one that fits perfectly easy, very lightweight :D

The cord is not as long as I might have light and does not feel durable because of how thin it is

Great mid-tier BA based IEM

I think the people that give these bad reviews have never had experience with single balanced armatures or even multiple armatures. The bass is very clean with a good texture and impact, it sounds the way its truly intended because most IEM...

lush, warm, detailed sound with a good soundstage

for the price I paid I can't find any

Great balanced armatures

I got these as a Klout perk and they work as advertised. I have to be careful when outside because it cuts out a lot of noise :)

Lightweight, Good design and accessories

No inline volume control

At the same price, no match for the EX310s

I'd been waiting to see what Sony could do with balanced armature design since they have, in my opinion, already laid claim to the dynamic driver crown with their monstrous 16mm EX1000s. These are not my first experience with balanced armature earbuds....

Clear mids and highs, small size and light weight

Absence of bottom end makes those highs seem shrill. Plastic construction inconsistent with the price
