TicPods Free Review: A Cheaper (and Colorful) AirPods Alternative

TicPods don't offer quite as magical an experience as you get from Apple's AirPods, which are so seamlessly integrated with an iPhone that it's practically effortless. No other completely wireless earbuds for Android replicate that experience, though...

Multiple colors to choose from ; Lengthy battery life ; Solid sound with noise isolation

Light indicators for battery levels ; Could use in-app audio personalization controls

For great sound in a uniquely designed, completely wireless package, TicPods Free are worth a look. But if you have $30 extra to spend and own an iPhone, get Apple's AirPods.

TicPods Free review: basically AirPods for Android

Mobvoi has just released TicPods Free. The wireless headphones, with their inevitable resemblance to Apple's AirPods, are ready to fit into the ears of both iOS and Android users. Is it worth buying them?

Comfortable to wear ; Works with Assistant, Siri and Alexa ; Practical to carry in the compact housing ; Do not slip during physical activity ; Battery life

MicroUSB connector ; Gesture control needs to improve

Mobvoi's TicPods come on the market two years after the launch of Apple's AirPods and are an alternative that can be used not only on iOS but also on Android. TicPods are suitable for listening to music during physical activity or while moving around...

TicPods Free review

Can these Bluetooth buds take on Apple's AirPods?

Works with iOS and Android ; Cheaper than AirPods ; Comfy and secure design ; Decent noise isolation

Temperamental touch control ; Operation feels a big laggy ; Pause/play only works on left earbud ; Some unexplained connection dropout

A few niggles, but they’re comfy, the audio is good and the price tag won’t leave you weeping

TicPods Free review

Like Apple AirPods, but for every type of phone

Works with Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant ; Comfortable feel (unless you have small ears) ; Powerful bass frequencies ; Cheaper than AirPods

Audio can lack clarity ; Clunky design ; Not enough earbud sizes

They may look like convincing AirPod clones, but the TicPods Free are a great product in their own right.
