Turtle Beach Elite 800X Review – Great hardware for an Xbox only gamer

The Elite 800X gaming headset arrived on my doorstep at the worst possible time: I was neck deep in PC game reviews and about to leave for E3. Now that I've had a few weeks to play with it, I'm sad I'd had to wait so long.

If you’re an Xbox gamer and plan to stay that way for a while to come, these headphones are a solid option. Something like the Astro A50s will provide more greater compatibility, but without many of the features – different sound profiles, noise...

Turtle Beach Elite 800X Review

The latest headset from Turtle Beach is aimed at mobile and Xbox One consumers. With noise cancellation, bluetooth, surround sound and even a mobile app we test it today in our Turtle Beach Elite 800X Review.

Starting with the build quality and design, as we always do, we were impressed by the Elite 800X. It is a bit of a shame that the entire constriction is plastic, some metal could be used to strengthen the extension sections for example, however the...

Turtle Beach Elite 800X Xbox One Review

The $299 Turtle Beach Elite 800X is a feature-rich premium Xbox One headset that lives up to its name. The detailed 7.1 surround sound satisfies for both solo and competitive play, especially when you kick on Superhuman Hearing mode to amplify your...

Elegant design ; Rich audio quality, Doubles as a Bluetooth or 3.5mm headset ; Completely wireless chat ; Strong battery life

A little too snug ; Overwhelming preset menu

The Turtle Beach Elite 800X gives Xbox One gamers impressive 7.1 surround sound and fully wireless chat, while doubling as an excellent Bluetooth headset.

Turtle Beach Elite 800X

The Turtle Beach Elite 800X is a premium wireless headset that's designed to work with the Xbox One and all your Bluetooth devices. It's currently the only Xbox One wireless headset on the market and the only one that doesn't need that pesky Stereo...

Comfortable and sleek ; Brilliant sound quality ; All the features you could want

No PS4 or PC chat compatibility (and no adaptor to fix that) ; Plethora of buttons to accidentally press ; 10 hour battery life

The Turtle Beach Elite 800X is a great Xbox One and mobile headset, but the standard Elite 800 is the more versatile offering.

Review: Turtle Beach Elite 800X

Designed specifically to deliver premium 7.1 sound wirelessly for Xbox One, the Elite 800X (there is also a PS4 version called the Elite 800) is one of the nicest headsets we've ever seen from Turtle Beach. There are a few problems with the design when...

Excellent sound quality, noise cancelling and wireless functionality but not as appealing when it comes to comfort and price.

"Real Reviews" - Dan the Man

" Advantages -Sound Categories: So many different sound options. -100% Wireless. No additional mic for voice chat needed. -Nice Design. Disadvantages -Sound Quality. Slightly less clear as Astros, but that's because the sound is split into more parts...

Top quality headset.

" You may be paying top money for these but you definitely get what you pay for! Full 7.1 Dolby surround sound means that you pick up on sounds which you didn't even know existed when playing through the tv! Microphone works well and the wireless...
