Macally iKey5 Combo

A keyboard and mouse combo with a special high-speed gaming mode

Cheap, mouse has special high-speed gaming mode

Few keys for controlling iTunes or other programs

It's a bit basic, but the iKey5 is a good option if you're looking for a cheap alternative to Apple's own keyboards and mice.

Affordable, not *too* big, and keys don't feel *too* bad

Compared with the similar MacAlly icekey, this is terrible. Keys are much louder, general build feels flimsy. Symbols are screened onto the keys using some weird material that's not sharp and has a funny grip-tape type of feel. WAY too much "chrome"...

Think of it as a disposable keyboard

Took only 24 hours from ordering to the shipment appearing outside my office door. Excellent!

Needed a keyboard for the Mac in my lab, and this was the cheapest. The white keys aren't ideal for hiding stains, but the price itself is worth using this keyboard until it doesn't work anymore before discarding it. So far, the keys feel great, every...

Would have loved it better in black to hide stains

Not bad for the money

You get what you pay for. At this price, don't expect an Apple-quality keyboard.

Refusing to spend $50 on the Apple keyboard, I decided to give this one a shot. While it's definitely not the highest-end keyboard on the market, it is sufficient. The shortcut keys (i.e. mute, volume, and eject) work great. Also, the built-in USB hub...

I agree with a previous poster in that the 1" border is excessive ; it makes the keyboard look huge. Additionally, the paint on the keys looks faded right out of the box. I bet that the paint will be fully faded within a year. Also, the keys are...

Good Keyboard

Good if you just need a cheap keyboard, but I would pay a little more for something better.

Works fine, keys feel great to type on

The USB ports don't supply enough power to many devices, and sometimes they start acting like USB 1.1 ports. Also sometimes OSX needs to re-detect the keyboard

macally iKey Slim USB Keyboard Model IKEY5

Is marketed for MACs but it looks just like any other cheapo PC keyboard, and I doubt it has any added functionality.

It is a somewhat slim usb keyboard with 2 ports

Cheap. It is slim, but has nearly a 1" boarder going around the sides. The 2 USB ports come out the back towards the right hand side which IMHO is not ideal. The keys don't feel right in a cheap sort of way

Pretty good for the price

Though this is many times better than the USB keyboard it's replacing, it's still not the best. I believe I would of preferred a standard keyboard over a slim style, but this is in no way a "bad" keyboard.

Native Macintosh layout/buttons, casing very ridged, matches most current mac models, flat keys are always cool

Not true "scissor keys", keys can be a bit stiff, USB ports are only on the right, casing/edge can be intrusive(depressed keys go at or below edge level)

SWEET for the price!

A more natural feeling layout for the volume controls would be nice... Otherwise it's great!

Keys are fast, you can feel them click under your fingers and it's thin... Also has places to plug in additional USB devices... This was a MUST for me because I use a wired mouse (logitech)

keys can feel a bit "wobbly", and I think the volume/eject buttons are in a strange place but they get the job done
