SteelSeries Merc Stealth Gaming Keyboard review: SteelSeries Merc Stealth Gaming Keyboard

SteelSeries Merc Stealth Gaming Keyboard

Separate game pad area isolates keys in a game-friendly (first-person shooter) design; improved rubberized keystroke feedback; software lets you tweak key mapping as much as you want.

Game pad keys take some getting used to.

The SteelSeries Merc Stealth gaming keyboard updates an already innovative design by adding lights and a USB hub. Though the design may not be for everyone, the Stealth Merc should satisfy gamers who want more than just a unique key layout.

steelseries Merc Stealth

had the original for years before the keys started to wear out and decided to upgrade to the light up version and right away I fell in love again. Its a great gaming keyboard. I know people who use a separate device as control keys that act with the...

wish it would have lasted

Good idea, bad implementation.

liked this fairly well when I first got it, not so much after using it for a while. Really like the adjustable illuminated keys. Extra gaming keys handy but at an awkward angle for me

Now the really bad. Left shift key shattered after playing pinball for a few hours. Number pad has been reworked making intuitive entry difficult. Basically if your not looking at it your gonna hit the wrong key. It could really use a palm rest as...

Great for Games, Bad for Business

Works excellently for games, especially those with a WASD control setup

Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End and Page Down do not have their own keys. You must turn Num Lock on and off if you are using the 10-key

Sweet Keyboard

The finger pad is a double edged sword. It's great and ergonomic, but you will have trouble readjusting to a normal keypad setup. You may note that it lacks a dedicated [Delete] key, it isn't a detractor. It's built into the keypad and is accessible by...

Simple to use. Software is very intuitive and easy to program macros. Once you get used to the setup, you will never want to go back. The two USB ports at the top are pretty handy for headphones or slim USB flash drives

Sometimes the keyboard setup will not change when first enacted. I eventually just setup my games to fall inline with the current setup. The hand setup may be a little small for larger hands. I found it suitable, but my friend complained that it was...
