Microsoft 69C-00006 Black USB Wireless Ergonomics Laser Desktop 5000 - OEM

Keyboard is nice.

Very weak reception.

A quality product

In order to use the F1-F12 keys, the function lock must be ON. This is sort of confusing for those notebook users - the Function Lock applies to the F1-12 keys, which also have other usage as Undo and Redo, New Document, Open Document, etc. I like this...

The ergonomic design is very comfortable and friendly to your hands - reduces stress on your wrists. The added gadget buttons on the keyboard are very handy, and fully customizable to open any application you want. The same goes for the Favorites...

The radio antenna on the keyboard has a short range, making it hard for go long distances - at about two and a half feet about half of all key presses will not register.

Middle Of The Road

Overall, I am moderately satisfied with this set, and the cons I mention are actually minor, but they do matter when taken together. I would have bought a different product had I known about them, especially the fact that the keys look and feel more...

I can type stuff and move the pointer around on the screen and click on stuff. I like the ergonomic feel, (doesn't have the split keyboard which I don't like but the slight curve is great). Comfortable mouse shape and weight.

The extra keys on the left of the keyboard are a little distracting (this probably won't bother you if you're a proficient touch typist, but I'm not). The "N" and "M" keys are oddly sized so that I sometimes find myself hitting the wrong one. No...

Well....

Not very happy all-around.

The sensitivity of the mouse is good, and I like the functions on the keyboard.

I have to reset the connection on the mouse a lot, even though its 6 inches away from the receiver. The buttons will stop working. I use it for gaming, and the middle button is my grenade, but it usually does not work unless you press it 4 or 5 times....

Nice

Nice working mouse and keyboard. 4 button mouse + wheel is useful, and can customize the buttons to what you want. The different buttons on the keyboard are really nice and useful shortcuts around.

For some reason I am always getting my Keyboard signal strength as Low, I am not quite sure why because the mouse is always high and they are the same distance from the receiver.

Great Keyboard

I am a Technical Support Specialist, and as such, I do a lot of typing...daily. So I needed something comfortable and with decent action. This keyboard did the trick. Oh, and it was about $40 cheaper than Staples.

It may be too sensitive at times.

Does take up a bit of space in a keyboard drawer :(

Microsoft 69C-00006 Black USB Wireless Ergonomics Laser Desktop 5000 - OEM

Don't buy it for a cad workstation!

None

I purchased this for my cad workstation. It stunk! After I installed the drivers, I tried using my solid works, it made all the models turn to blocks and the video output was terrible! I un-installed it, used a Logitech and everything was better.

Fantastic, But Install Nightmare

The 5000 series is the best ever made and at a great price too. I've owned a 5000 series mouse for over a year without any problems. So I just decided to get the keyboard too. I love the tactile feel of the keys, the contoured keyboard (a breeze to...

That being said, installing the intellipoint/intellitype software and making the mouse and keyboard work are tedious. You MUST follow the short instruction sheet or the products just will not work. I just started doing things all out of order and it...

If one buys a quality, expensive product from a quality brand name should they be able to expect what they payed for? The fact that this product may have been defective is no excuse and I will never buy another piece of Microsoft hardware.

Comfortable keyboard and mouse.

Either I received a defective product or this item is so difficult to install that I could not manage it. I installed fallowing the very short instructions that were included a total of six times on several computers with zero response on any attempt.
