Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 Review

If you're like most of us, it's unlikely that hackers have much interest in intercepting what you're typing. Still, with schematics and software to build keyboard sniffers readily available, it's nice to know you're protected from ne'er-do-wells, and...

Review: Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000

Good hardware, bad design.

Excellent BlueTrack sensor; Silent, short-throw membrane keys; Great operational range; No interference; Virtually lag-free; Wide range of Windows optimised function keys; Jitter-free mouse; Wristpad; 6-key rollover; Great value for money.

Crazy scroll wheel; Unergonomic; Lacks proper key spacing; No indicators for toggle keys; Requires a steep learning curve.

Acceptable Keyboard, Awful Mouse

We use multiple combos at work, and every one has the same downfall--lost battery covers for the mouse.

Connectivity is never an issue, the keyboard and mouse keep functioning.

The mouse does not slide or track well, the scroll wheel doesn't click, and the battery cover constantly falls off. It has to be the worst design for a cover ever.

Good combo for the price

The Microsoft keyboard and mouse combo is a good value. The keyboard is very easy to type on. I do not write novels or extreme game, but it works for me. The only con I can see is that the mouse can sometime get sketchy. I do not blame that on hardware...

Great Product, had issues

I don't see a lot of issues like mine, so I assume this is an isolated incident.

Excellent configuration, size and weight, wonderful setup and always easy to use

Failed at 4 months, working on RMA replacement but didn't last as long as I had hoped.
