Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800

The Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 is a great no frills solid keyboard mouse combination packaged together for a great price. Extreme ease of installation with standard features make this keyboard and mouse a good choice for a non-tech savvy user as...

Looks great, lots of shortcut keys, comfortable to type on

Very expensive, key layout takes some getting used to

If you have a bit of money to splash around and want a wireless keyboard and mouse package that has all the bells and whistles, the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 may be right for you.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 - Reliable and Affordable

An affordable performer, but it's not without its quirks.

The Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 sells for Rs. 1,370, which means it’s not the cheapest wireless keyboard-mouse set in the market. It’s pretty good value for money in our opinion. We don’t like the cramped areas of the keyboard but with plenty of...

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 review

With its glossy surround, Microsoft's Wireless Desktop 800 looks good, but it's also susceptible to picking up unsightly fingerprints over time.

The keyboard has a slightly cramped design, but this is otherwise a decent desktop set from Microsoft

Labtek Media Wireless Desktop 800 review

Labtec's wireless keyboard is one of the more compact models we've seen, designed to fit on to a cramped desk. While you save a bit of horizontal space, this is at the detriment of usability with the arrow keys reduced in size, making them a little...

The keyboard’s compact nature causes some unnecessary problems, as does the bulky wireless receiver, but this is otherwise a good value desktop set.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Not worth the 20 bucks when it was on sale.

Cheap

Terrible range and input lag. The mouse works fine at about 4-7 feet. The keyboard with direct line of sight to the receiver barely works as I am typing this. It is about 18 inches away. I have an older version of this which works fine. I bought this...

Good, will buy again, but mouse has power switch, use or it will run down

Will buy it again. Compact, on the small side. I've had lots of troubles with Microsoft products, but looks like they fixed them. Borderline on 5 egg rating.

Very good range ~20 ft. No problems, even after many drops by my 7 yr. old. Keyboard doesn't have a power switch you need to turn on. Good layout. Good price.

Mouse can run down if left on, but not as quickly as another brand I've used. No lights on keyboard to show caps/num lock. -Tradeoff for not having switch.
