Microsoft Wireless Desktop 5000 Review

This isn't a gaming keyboard, but we had no problem using it to play games.

The Wireless Comfort 5000 Desktop largely lives up to its promise. The keyboard and mouse are very comfortable to use, and the keyboard provides plenty of one-touch functions for managing your applications. It’s not equipped with informative LEDs, nor...

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 5000 Review and Prices

Input devices have often been geared toward niche users like gamers, but Microsoft's new Wireless Optical Desktop 5000 keyboard and mouse combo is one of the first sets we've seen targeted at photo editors.

Microsoft Wireless Optical 5000

Introduction Time to take a look at a mouse/keyboard kit from Microsoft, they have released quite a bit of kits lately and we got a sample of their latest Optical 5000 model which has some nice features for people that are interested in Photos etc. You...

Soft hand rest ; Quiet ; Good software ; Well packed ; Photo section ; High quality

Mouse lags in FPS games

This is a excellent keyboard/mouse kit, you get a wonderful keyboard to type on and a matching mouse to it also. The only con I could find with the mouse was that it lags in games and especially FPS games but otherwise it works great for normal usage...

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 5000 Imaging Package

Comfortable to use, good selection of keys

Problems with wireless transmission, standard batteries rather than rechargeables

A very comfortable keyboard and mouse solution that looks slick but is let down by poor implementation of the wireless technology.

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 5000

They call the keyboard a "Photo Keyboard" with extra digital photo management keys and even bundle a digital photo management software with it.

Comfort curve keyboard; palm rest; wireless

Extra Photo Center keys don't do anything except launching Digital Image Standard 2006; mouse is 2 years old; wireless range is low; price is way too high

Comfy

Not bad for the price. No complaints so far other than I wish the range was greater.

Mouse is ergonomic (comfy). Features like magnifier pane is useful at a distance. Easy to set up. Key board is nice design too

Side buttons on mouse take some getting used to. Range is not that great (from USB transmitter to keyboard)
