Rosewill RK-577 External Slim Keypad Built in USB2.0 2 Ports HUB

Best wired keypad, period ; Has 2 USB2 ports ; Has tab, backspace, numlock, and double zero keys

Impressive little guy

I use this pad as an add on peripheral for simulation. It has survived some jolts that I figured would take it out of service...speaks well of the build quality.

Takes a beating, has backspace on it

Shorter cord than I'd like (though this is a plus for the laptop users out there)

Works fine but with one major drawback

Pretty disappointed with the standard driver for the above purpose. If you simply want a keypad, this is nice enough, and the driver does exactly what it's supposed to. If you're really looking for alt-keystroke compatibility, this is not for you.

Lightweight but not junky feeling ; Decent enough key feel ; Numlock key ; 00", backspace, tab, etc keys ; All obvious features work fine ; Does what an external numeric keypad should, except

Bought to complement a laptop with inconvenient numeric keypad functionality. However, this product does NOT work with the Windows alt-keystroke schema to enter symbols. This was a major reason for buying it, and well, now I have a nice hub with some...

Works.

A little longer cord would be nice, as would using a braided cord design. (I have to bend the cord in advance to get it to sit properly on my desk, and it barely reaches my USB hub) I'll update at the 1 week mark if there's anything new to add.

Backspace and tab keys ; Numlock button and light ; A 00 key. (I don't expect to use it though) ; Fast and easy keystrokes ; 2 additional USB ports. (I don't use them though since I have a powered hub) ; Tilt is adjustable between flat, and the same...

Did not work

I bought two of this wireless cards. One for my full size PC primarily running Ubuntu Linux 10.4 64-bit. And the other one was for my small Gateway PC running Windows 7 64-bit. To my total surprise, on Ubuntu 10.4, I installed the card, booted the PC,...

Nice design

Digits 7-9, and + button did not work. The unit would not work at all if anything was plugged into the other usb port on my laptop

Works fine and easily

Have not tried to charge stuff via the USB port to see iof that works. Why wouldn't it?

This plug in number pad solves the annoyanc eof typing numbers when using Excel on a notebook PC; it was low priced and free shipping (when I got it) and has 2 extra USB ports handy to use for USB memory drives

Just Works

We've ordered at least twenty of these over the past couple of years for use on everything from laptops to Wyse S50 Thin Clients. We haven't had one fail yet.

Inexpensive ; Truly Plug-and-Play ; Good build quality ; No batteries required

Only comes in black

Buy one - if you want a simple keypad that works this works for me.

Price, Plug and Play, no gimmicy stuff, works

Small and slightly unstable - though I do have big paws
