Good Keyboard

I had a saitek cyborg V7.0 before this. They are very similar keyboards but the cyborg V7.0 is no longer available. This keyboard is comparable to a logitech g110 and has almost all of the same features as one.

Nice and bright ; Well defined back lighting ; Quiet and soft keys ; Good build quality ; Shortcut keys are useful ; Looks pretty cool ; Good for any purpose including work or gaming

Software for the media buttons (volume control) is hard to come by. I think softpedia is where I was able to find it. In my case, without the drivers, the volume control would always stay full bright if you turned it up or down ; Shortcut keys should...

Looks great, average performance

To be perfectly honest, this is a good keyboard for someone who is not looking to use it for gaming. I owned a Saitek Eclipse II for about 3 years and I purchased this keyboard to replace it. I was a bit disappointed to discover some legacy problems...

Very cool design ; Touchpad buttons are a nice feature and they're very responsive, plus they look nice as well ; Multimedia and miscellaneous task keys are a neat idea ; Five selectable light colors (I'm partial to red) ; Very ergonomic setup

Very large, may be too big for some setups ; Miscellaneous keys on the side of the keyboard are not programmable, cannot be disabled, and are very prone to accidental presses since they hang off the side like a game controller 'trigger' and are very...

Saitek 3 customer

Very well packaged, although i have had it for only a few hours i absolutely love it. and i love newegg

5 different light choices ; quiet keys ; touch buttons ; works on mac and pc

the only thing i would say is pressing on the capslock key on the edge makes this odd noisy button sound

Great

Everything works awesomely. Great colors and ability to dim the lights. Keys are nice and soft. I love it

Volume touch keys seemingly don't work. No big deal

Saitek Eclipse III Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Backlit Multimedia Keyboard

Good looking keyboard. You can make it look as ridiculously flashy as you want, but can also tone it down to something more subtle ; All the touch buttons along the top are responsive and easy to control ; No extra software needed, plug and play with...

I take half an egg off for the fact that one of the clamps for the wrist rest broke off while installing it. I was quite gentle, but unfortunately the build quality of the wrist rest doesn't match the build quality of the actual board ; Not the...

Great Wired Keyboard

I bought one of these as a gift last christmas. I "tested" it out for 2 weeks before giving it to the owner. They love it and its still going strong a year later. I just recently purchased my own. It compliments my microsoft x8 gaming mouse quite well.

Perfect tension / length of keystroke ; Multi-color backlit ; Solid construction ; LEDs have not gone out ; Solid thick USB cable and connectors ; GOLD plated USB connector (Likely not necessary, but a rare quality trait, more expensive keyboards and...

Weight and Size (This is not meant for a LAN rig, it wont fit into most backpacks) ; Shortcut keys have a really soft keypress so they are easy to bump and accidentally execute commands

Review update(DO NOT BUY THIS)

All in all, the keyboard is very, unusable now, due to the shift key becoming useless. I'm very disappointed, as I liked its design, and mechanical key feeling. I can't stand those new flat keys that is all the rage now, I like the resistance of the...

While this thing worked, it served its purpose, backlit, a keyboard, extra keys on side for convienence. From there, its downhill

After a year of use, this keyboard has started to qwerk up, starting with right shift+' not working to make "(left shift still works.) Now its slowly going from ;-a with right shift not capitalizing them. You can see why this can be annoying. I used...

The plastic plague!

Within days after setting up the keyboard, the little black stands on the bottom snapped in half. After further inspection, I realized that they were easily bent in half with a thumb and index finger (Surprising for such thick plastic). I contacted...

The backlights are bright and adjustable, with five colors and four light settings ; Touch sensitive buttons along the top respond well ; Keys are durable and resistant to paint chipping

The Mic and Headphone inputs are useless for my setup ; Side shortcut buttons are easily bumped, sometimes opening up millions of calculators all over your screen ; Attachable wrist rest is cheap and most of the rubber paint came off after the first...

Good Keyboard, Unneccessary functions

I don't fault Saitek for the fact that I constantly bump the side keys, but it would have been nice to have been able to reprogram them.

keys are responsive ; good weight to the keyboard ; microphone and headphone ready jacks right on the keyboard ; backlighting control is great (around 6 colors with 4 different brightness settings for each)

side function keys are nonprogrammable ; side keys are accidently hit often (a bother for a gamer)
