Dell XPS 13 (2019) review

The XPS 13 has always been easy to recommend -- that is, unless you needed a good video conferencing webcam. So, what happens when Dell fixes one of the only problems we had with the XPS 13? Well, it's near perfection. The 2019 XPS 13 shows Dell...

Sleek design ; New colorways are great ; Webcam re-positioned ; Redesigned hinge opens easily ; Speedy, ultrabook performance

The Dell XPS 13 was already the best laptop. Now it’s nearly perfect

Dell XPS 13 review (2018): Still the best Windows laptop

Dell's latest XPS 13 doesn't stray from the line's high standards. It's fast, slim and sturdy. Sure, the company didn't change much, but it didn't really have to.

Still gorgeous thanks to the InfinityEdge screen ; A bit lighter and slimmer than before ; Supports external GPUs ; Display now supports HDR

You’ll pay for the 4K display in battery life ; No traditional USB ports or full-sized SD card reader

And it's officially hosted in Las Vegas.

Dell XPS 13 (2018) hands-on review

Dell's all-new XPS 13 freshens up the hardware, but doesn't lose the magic.

Thin and light ; Still attractive, now available in white ; 4K display looks spectacular ; Keyboard feels great

Battery is smaller than before

Lovely, sophisticated design ; Good performance ; Powerful speakers

No SD reader ; Mediocre display ; Unreliable touchpad

Dell's XPS 13 is one of the best looking Ultrabooks we've seen yet, but isn't necessarily the best Ultrabook.

Dell New XPS 13 vs. HP Spectre x360 13t: Which laptop is better

What happens when Dell's New XPS 13, the best clamshell laptop, takes on HP's Spectre x360 13t, the best convertible laptop? A clash of the titans

It’s interesting that both the XPS 13 and Spectre x360 13t are the last refuge of “good keyboards.” There's no marketing to make you believe that less key travel is better. For most of us (not all), less keyboard travel is like less space on a coach...

Dell XPS 13 (9370)

A new rose gold and white color scheme—well worth an extra $50—makes the Dell XPS 13 a stunning fashion statement, and it's backed by strong performance and a svelte but sturdy build.

Elegant, compact design. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports plus USB-C.

No HDMI or USB Type-A ports. 4K display means shorter battery life than its predecessor. Webcam looks up your nose.

Bottom Line: A new rose gold and white color scheme—well worth an extra $50—makes the Dell XPS 13 a stunning fashion statement, and it's backed by strong performance and a svelte but sturdy build.

Dell New XPS 13 review: It's elegant, tiny and stupidly fast

Dell's New XPS 13 comes in Alpine White, has an improved keyboard, sports a Windows Hello camera, and simply smokes the competition (and itself) in performance.

Better performance than most Core i7 laptops with just a Core i5 ; Improved keyboard over previous generation XPS 13 ; Tiny foot print

Can be loud at times ; No USB-A port ; Slightly pricey

Dell’s new XPS 13 comes with a new design and new compromises

Dell finally redesigns its flagship laptop and makes some unfortunate changes along the way

Super compact design ; Great performance ; Comfortable keyboard and trackpad

Middling battery life ; Limited port selection ; Terrible webcam

If you can get over all of that (which, admittedly, is a lot), then the XPS 13 rewards with great performance, a lovely display, and an attractive, very portable package. Had Dell combined those features with the best of the prior generation — namely a...

Dell XPS 13 review: Stunning screen and compact design make this the first great laptop of 2015

Taking a hint from TV-makers, the bezel narrows to nearly nothing, while performance gets a small Broadwell boost.

Dell's revamped XPS 13 has a nearly borderless display and a very small body for a 13-inch laptop, plus the latest Intel CPUs.

Upgrades can get expensive; a touchscreen isn't included by default; the boost from the new CPU is minimal.

This new Dell XPS 13 is the first great laptop of 2015, but it owes that title more to a smart design revamp than Intel's new processors.

Dell XPS 13 Touch

The Dell XPS 13 Touch is a compact touch-screen ultrabook made with premium materials like carbon fiber and Gorilla Glass. It's an excellent travel companion, but strictly luxury class.

Compact. Sturdy construction. Comfortable, backlit keyboard. Responsive touchpad and touch screen. Large solid-state drive (SSD). 802.11ac Wi-Fi. All-day battery life

Somewhat pricey. No SD card slot or Ethernet port

The Dell XPS 13 Touch ($1,349.99, as tested) is a lightweight ultrabook made for the road warriors who need a full-size keyboard and a 10-point touch screen in a compact form factor. Premium materials like carbon fiber and Gorilla Glass add luxury...
