Dell XPS 13 review (2018): Still the best Windows laptop

Dell's latest XPS 13 doesn't stray from the line's high standards. It's fast, slim and sturdy. Sure, the company didn't change much, but it didn't really have to.

Still gorgeous thanks to the InfinityEdge screen ; A bit lighter and slimmer than before ; Supports external GPUs ; Display now supports HDR

You’ll pay for the 4K display in battery life ; No traditional USB ports or full-sized SD card reader

And it's officially hosted in Las Vegas.

Dell XPS 13 (2018) hands-on review

Dell's all-new XPS 13 freshens up the hardware, but doesn't lose the magic.

Thin and light ; Still attractive, now available in white ; 4K display looks spectacular ; Keyboard feels great

Battery is smaller than before

Dell New XPS 13 vs. HP Spectre x360 13t: Which laptop is better

What happens when Dell's New XPS 13, the best clamshell laptop, takes on HP's Spectre x360 13t, the best convertible laptop? A clash of the titans

It’s interesting that both the XPS 13 and Spectre x360 13t are the last refuge of “good keyboards.” There's no marketing to make you believe that less key travel is better. For most of us (not all), less keyboard travel is like less space on a coach...

Dell XPS 13 (9370)

A new rose gold and white color scheme—well worth an extra $50—makes the Dell XPS 13 a stunning fashion statement, and it's backed by strong performance and a svelte but sturdy build.

Elegant, compact design. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports plus USB-C.

No HDMI or USB Type-A ports. 4K display means shorter battery life than its predecessor. Webcam looks up your nose.

Bottom Line: A new rose gold and white color scheme—well worth an extra $50—makes the Dell XPS 13 a stunning fashion statement, and it's backed by strong performance and a svelte but sturdy build.

Dell New XPS 13 review: It's elegant, tiny and stupidly fast

Dell's New XPS 13 comes in Alpine White, has an improved keyboard, sports a Windows Hello camera, and simply smokes the competition (and itself) in performance.

Better performance than most Core i7 laptops with just a Core i5 ; Improved keyboard over previous generation XPS 13 ; Tiny foot print

Can be loud at times ; No USB-A port ; Slightly pricey

Dell’s new XPS 13 comes with a new design and new compromises

Dell finally redesigns its flagship laptop and makes some unfortunate changes along the way

Super compact design ; Great performance ; Comfortable keyboard and trackpad

Middling battery life ; Limited port selection ; Terrible webcam

If you can get over all of that (which, admittedly, is a lot), then the XPS 13 rewards with great performance, a lovely display, and an attractive, very portable package. Had Dell combined those features with the best of the prior generation — namely a...

Dell XPS 13 (2019): Our favorite laptop gets better

Slim, lightweight design ; Strong performance ; Gorgeous 4K display ; Long battery life (on 1080p model) ; InfinityEdge bezels with properly placed webcam

Below-average battery life (on 4K model)

The Dell XPS 13 serves up a new color, a powerful Intel Whiskey Lake processor, a 4K display (and ditches the ridiculous "nosecam") - all in a slim, lightweight chassis.

Dell XPS 13 (OLED, 2021) review

With the XPS 13 OLED, the best laptop meets the world's best display technology

Breathtaking 3.5K OLED display ; Striking, ultra-thin design ; Portable yet sturdy chassis ; Fast performance ; IR camera and fingerprint sensor

Battery life takes a hit with OLED ; Limited port selection ; No webcam shutter ; Weak graphics

Dell's XPS 13 OLED equips our favorite laptop with the best display yet — there are some sacrifices, but the overall package is mouthwatering.

The Dell XPS 13 9370 offers strong performance, long battery life and a stunning screen in a chassis that's slimmer and more attractive than ever.

Attractive design; Vibrant screen; Strong performance; Good battery life overall; Runs cool

Dell XPS 13 Review 2020

The XPS 13 is probably Dell’s most popular laptop, perhaps not in terms of “units shipped” because it is a high-end...

Ultra-compact, beautiful, design ; Very good performance ; Flexible build options ; Very good display

Charging could be faster

The Dell XPS 13 is the best ultra-compact 13.3” laptop and deserves its excellent reputation. It is a fabulous all-around computer that cuts no corners, and even though you might complain about the lack of a USB-A port, there are no real alternatives...
